Revelation 18 - The Great Babylon

“And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.” ”City” is an interesting term. It’s the Greek word “polis” which means "a group of people". Physically, a city has a specific location. Also, one may know the character of a city by the way it transacts...

    Gods Elect vs man's selction

You said this: Implying that we are not conformed to His image until we are given our new bodies. My point: the processes of conformation begins at inclusion into His Body. That happens on this side of the eternal. Furthermore, it continues into the eternal, in the new heaven and earth, with...

    Gods Elect vs man's selction

I forgot to address your view of positional truth. Positional truth conveys all the authority of the position. So, if the scriptures say "we are seated with Christ in Heavenly places" this is not an exposition on the placement of our chair. This is about the authority, available to us now...

    Gods Elect vs man's selction

Non sequitur. It's clearly established that the Body of Christ exists both in the earth and in heaven and is made up of those who believe in Him. "Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while...

    Gods Elect vs man's selction

The passage continues: "Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified." It is about sanctification. We are already His flesh and His bones. "For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His...

    Gods Elect vs man's selction

To the image of His Son. ”For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” It’s the promise of sanctification.

    Gods Elect vs man's selction

Exactly! We are predestined to be conformed.

    Demonic possession in objects

We live in the country in the U.S. A certain bird began attacking our widows. He would begin a dawn and end at dusk. It was typical for some birds to do this during mating season so we did not think much of it. But then, the same bird, continued his assault in the fall and winter. That was not...

Revisiting The Language of the Great Harlot

Outliers are atypical anomalies from the norm. But you make a good point: In the Roman Church, the relics and sacraments are the “vehicles of grace”. The scriptures teach, in 1st Peter ironically, that believers are the vehicles of grace. “Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As...

    its in your heart

“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?” This is why a new heart, in Christ, is required. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My...

    Jesus Was Made Perfect?

Yes! There had to be a witness, in the earth, of His perfection.

Revisiting The Language of the Great Harlot

Regarding the RCC: this explains their obsession with artifacts. Since God is far from the common man, one can experience His presence when in proximity to the spear shaft, the watermark that looks like Mary, the supposed crown of thorns, the opulence of the temples, etc.

    There will be no Rapture!!!

Honestly, their worldview will implode. I’ll keep my account open here so they can reach out when they don’t know what to do.

Revisiting The Language of the Great Harlot

Yet, in this passage we have Abel's death which occurred perhaps 900 years before Jerusalem was founded. ;)

Revisiting The Language of the Great Harlot

I underlined it in the post: "These things were intentionally hyper-inflated to make the average folk believe that they could never reach God. " And "She defined God in ways that closed up the Book again." The Harlot means to keep God at a distance from the people: having them believe that He...

Revisiting The Language of the Great Harlot

No. Not my point. If you read what I posted you'll see she is to blame for Abel's death: long before the RCC. The RCC and many other churches use the language of the Harlot but they are not the Harlot themselves.

    There will be no Rapture!!!

Your post made me recall the most virulent put-down in all of elementary school: "Your face is stupid."

    Jesus Was Made Perfect?

Yes! Humility is part of the Godhead. We see the Father defer to the Son in all things. We see the Son only do what He sees His Father doing. And we see the Spirit not speak on His own but deliver only what He hears from the Son.

Revisiting The Language of the Great Harlot

Just for clarity: a harlot sits opposed to the wife of a man. She is a prostitute. She offers some of the benefits of the wife (mostly in sexual favors) but none of the enduring substance of a marriage covenant. The Great Harlot is mentioned in Revelation chapter 17. She is shown to be "drunk...
