Okay lets go after some safety rules before heading into the dangerous territory called the Bible discussion forum.
1- if you are not able to handle attacks its best not to venture into this realm
2 Always do your best to respond in a loving manner as much as possible
3 you can choose to make a happy and encouraging thread but it will not last long because people want debates there not encouragement.
4 never and I mean for your own safety create a thread with such titles- the rapture, the trinity, Catholics and muslims, the name or identity of the antichrist, being perfect or sinless, or anything biblically enducational as these will create war threads and unless you like heated debates I wouldn't recommend it

Okay so does everyone understand the rules? okay lets put on our protective gear and proceed into this scary and dangerous realm, may God have mercy on our souls:b

Or a better method - avoid the bible discussion forum and leave it to those who will blow off each others heads off. At least it'll separate those who want genuine discussion in a peaceful manner and those who do not.

The fact is that with God's help we only have control of ourselves we can't control others ..... I have observed that never works..... trying to control others that is....

I have learned several lessons from the Bible Discussion Forum......at times run away.....at times stay.....
How not to behave toward others.
Wondering where the love is toward others?
People don't listen very well there.
Not sure they want to learn there either as they have a point to prove come h... or high water.
To try and respond as Jesus would in love and kindness.
When no one is listening.....leave....as their minds are closed to their own thoughts of rightness.
Not to call people names.
Not to tell them they are going to hell.
Not to call them a demon.
Not to let them chase me away from the site.
Have learned to not take their comments personally as they are not really attacking me but Jesus Himself.

So it has been a really good learning tool for me in this last year.

There are some on the sight that really do love the Lord and do try and share in love and they can be recognized by their fruits that some of us would like to cover with chocolate. I just wish we could see the fruit of love toward God and our fellow humans that some talk about but don't display very well. To those that display the love THANKS A BUNCH.

Another thing I have learned from BDF is that if I can't take the heat from my brothers & sisters then when real persecution comes along I wouldn't stand a chance of holding my own so it is also a lesson in developing strength in beliefs plus hanging onto and leaning totally on God for that help in standing up to the heat.... What is that saying? If You Can't Stand The Heat Get Out Of The Kitchen.....lol

I actually had someone come looking for me lately from the BDF as I had not been posting in there for a while and they wondered if I was sick? I thought that was really sweet of the person to come looking for me so I ventured back into the kitchen where the burners have been left on HIGH and tested the heat a little more.......it can still burn by the way.

I pop in and out of there as I have learned for myself if no one is listening why stick around and debate needlessly. But if someone was looking for me maybe I should visit there a little more often and put in my 2 cents worth. Sometimes I might not be able to handle the heat, but God can so I venture there on occasion.

Had to laugh at myself I know that it is spelled site and not sight....in the last paragraph but the edit time or my re-read too long to fix... gave me a chuckle as I re-read this....lol

It should stay open. If people can't hold themselves accountable to their own expression of beliefs then it is on THAT person's end. There are a wide variety of beliefs. If you cannot handle being critiqued or questioned by others, then you can simply use another section of the forums. This is the internet and there is a wide array of character personalities on this site. Some of them have the capability of being nice while others just go off the deep end. As I said, this is the internet. It's impossible to make everybody happy..

Flame thrower huh? effective and creative but I like using a massive sword. I draw swords a lot so I know how to make a good looking and very strong sword.

Mods have commented repeatedly on the level of moderation that goes on site wide. If they tighten the reins everyone complains that the site is too restrictive. If they loosen them people run wild. They try to strike a balance. But in the end they can't make everyone happy. And i hold to the belief they won't be too restrictive on their most active forum to keep things moving.
But i can see their issue with the balance. I have gotten out of hand in things i've said in the past and was given warnings. A more strict code might have had me banned. I wasn't being intentional in my behavior, just got frustrated. So the balance they keep kept me from being banned rather than warned. And now i'm on my 3rd year here haha.

Thanks Blain and crossnote! Funny but so true! If you wish to have your wits tested to really see where you are at personal?? THEN!!!! And only then is the Bible Study Room your place to venture into! LOL It is not place for a nervious person,or an insecure person to travel to,it does have mercy and love in it,but they do not always abide here either.

And if you are looking for a yes person in your life,do not look here!! LOL This is one of the finest testing grounds for personal growth! This room will not only tell you where you are in Christ personal, but show you as well! Whether you wish to see this or not!

As my brothers mentioned there are subjects here that will wear you out! And when this happens, when Holy spirit inside you begins to rumble,you know your flesh is not far off from saying something, that will be unkind,that is when another room for you should be taken!( mark 4:24)

There are some very fine debates,but once you have made the point you are looking for others to hear,and stones get fired at you,no need to throw any back.Just remember two scriptures!! Both will again give you great peace in both your mindset, and flesh as a whole lol!!( matt 7:6 and matt13:14-17!!)

Then think only about phil 4:8 hehe and if you cannot with all of the firing going on,( matt 11:12)then be shrewd (matt 10:16) and slip away for a while. May this help us all to keep our peace through our Christ Jesus!!
