i think there should be a tumbs down thing on these message things. Yes i understand mods read it, but wouldn't it be easier if the mods could just say "ok this one recked too mny dislikes" rather. I know youtube has that option..can cc do it too some how without copyright and all that jazz?

That would probably cause more issues since many if not all topics would get thumbs down, even if it's solely because the user(s) don't like the OP and by taking down topics because of many dislikes would probably wipe out a good portion of the forums. If you feel like a post is deemed to be inappropriate then just report it.

JustAU is right.
This is a discussion forum. Youtube is a video watching site with a comment section. The whole point of the forums is a place for discussion. If a post breaks the rules report it. If you just don't like it, comment or move on. Adding a button to easily put down posts will just serve to add to frustration and a misuse of the feature.
Also it disrupts the flow of conversation when a post disappears. This is why mods are more likely to edit than delete a post, except in certain cases.

I 'dislike' the fact that I've tried twice to swipe U's new avatar but when I download it - it's a still-picture and the little guy isn't sticking his tongue out going nutz and all.

No --- a thumbs down is not appropriate with Christian behavior, but in the case of not being able to download 'ugly's' [don't like that name 'ugly' - t'ain't befittin' da man] - his new avatar, I could put one of these -> :(

I want that animated avatar animated, to send to my brother to make him laugh.

"Iamblessed" ... you wouldn't feel very 'blessed' if you got a mess of thumbs-downs, day-in & day-out..

-- unless you're as tough or nuts as a few of us are. :D

Chances are, what you downloaded probably is a fully-functional GIF animated graphic; Only, you have to view it in an environment ( with the right kind of program ) that is capable of "running" the animation.

Download Ugly's avatar, then drag the downloaded file into a new browser window and watch the animation. It's simply an animated .gif file.. and will animate inside an app that is able to display the full animation.
