"I suggest adding new forums. By doing so, it would give these members/visitors a place to go concerning their needs without getting caught up in the "Bible Discussion Forum" and all that's going on there. Also, they would be easily found to witness and minister to.

The forums could be titled:

  • Non-Believer Forum
  • Unsure-Believers Forum
  • Newly Converted Believers Forum

or

  • Non-Believer/Unsure-Believers Forum
  • Newly Converted Believers Forum

or something to that effect.

Thank you for your time and your administration of this site.

I have seen you make similar posts when others attempt to promote ideas that they feel would be beneficial.

I must ask, with all due respect, what is the intent behind your posts of this nature? That we should refrain from posting our ideas because others have posted them and there have been no changes? Have you entertained the idea that the administration could be waiting to see how many would promote a similar idea before making changes? I've served as moderator on other forums and many times we would place an idea on hold to see how many would promote said idea.

I believe that there is power in numbers and changes could be made if the administration see enough people promoting the same ideas.

To pass along information? Or to encourage people to look for existing threads on a topic?
My experience is the site owner is more aware of things than comes across publicly. So i don't see that i'm disrupting anything.
In fact, i'm pointing out that this is not a new idea and has been submitted before. Lending to the idea that this may be an encouraged concept, actually. How is that a discouragement for other people who come along and see my post? In fact, in my nearly 4 years on the site, i've noticed plenty of people will still continue posting support for something, regardless of what i say, if that's what they want to do.
And sometimes, due to my years of time here, i'm aware of reasons why certain things aren't enacted or what the basis is for an idea. And i pass that information along.
That i have seen so far room/forum recommendations are rarely used because it would require either a) a large enough group b) Robo just thinking it's a legit need.
Just to give perspective, we have a large number of users from India/Philipines, and i remember when those forums were put up. The demand seemed great enough to justify adding them. Yet either of those forums can get little to no use for weeks at a time, despite what seemed to be a high demand.
But at the end of the day, regardless of what i think, Robo is going to do what he wants and what he thinks is best. He sees the bigger picture. And if he thinks it's a good idea, with or without a lot of support, he will try to do it.

Please accept my apologies if I implied that your post was a disruption, that was not my intention. And, you do have a point.. encourage people to look for existing threads on a topic is beneficial. I feel that it may also help to post a link to the original idea, time permitting of course, when we see this happen.

Thank you for your input, it is indeed appreciated.
