Okay I just joined this place and I am already getting really sick of all the people who seem self-righteous! It seems like people come with real problems and many of them are answered by people who act like they live perfect and the other person just HAS PROBLEMS.
I think we should start a confession form. Where we can share our struggles in life. DO NOT reply on the form with your "help" but send them a message if you have gone through the same struggles. Share what helped you through the hard time. I think it could really help rather then just pushing the Bible in someones face.

Well, this is a public forum, so if you're posting here the expectation is to get a variety of answers in return. Having a public forum where people can't respond negates the concept.
And two problems with this idea. One is that these people you have a problem with can just as easily send the same messages privately as they can in public, so it won't necessarily stop them. Two is that some people do not want to be messaged privately, at least not by strangers, or may even have their PM settings turned off or filtered.
Another idea is this may confuse new people who expect public responses and may not understand why they are not receiving them.
The problem is not the set up of the site but the people. But if a person chooses to go to a public space where others are free to respond there is a risk that comes along with it. If they don't want that then it's something they need to deal with in a more private setting.

Actually there is no problem with it. Just because we make one form that is for this purpose does not mean we do not have all the other open ones! If people want the open message instead of the private one then they can simply post to another form. Some people do not have others to help them with there problems so they fiend themselves resorting to the public form because it is all they can fiend. They do not know where to look to get the one on one help they need. And you could easily explain what the form was for in the beginning of it so no confusion on why they are not getting an open message.

Sounds like a church that I once attended several years ago. The people there acted like their lives were perfect, their kids were perfect and EVERYONE ELSE HAS PROBLEMS, but not them. The women in that church reminded me of the Stepford Wives. Of course we did not last very long at that church. We were new Christians at the time and I even remember turning to my wife during a sermon and telling her, "saved or not saved, people are still people!"
