Being auto-logged out while writing post

The site does not recognize typing as being active. And the site can't measure what you do on other sites, so it can't count that either. I know you had good intentions but few people will read a post that takes that long to write. A general rule of thumb is once you get past a paragraph or two people lose interest or won't even bother.
Really a wall of text is thought of as not using paragraphs or breaks. Long as you break the text up you're fine. Some will type and never once hit enter, yet have 10 paragraphs worth of material. Or more.

Don't feel too bad. Since I've joined I have probably apologized a hundred times for one thing or the other. There are a lot of residents in this community that does care. Every one has a story.

I find this happens to me on my kindle after only a few minutes typing - so frustrating!

Just to address the OP's concern, most sites that has password protected log-ins have an auto log out feature of some sort after a period of inactivity in order to protect the user from unauthorized use of their access.

As another user suggested if you intend to take a while to create a post it probably would be best served by creating your post off site in a word processing program (not a bad idea even if the post is shorter just for editing/proof reading purposes since our edit time after posting is only five minutes) then copy and paste it into Christian Chat once you are happy with your finished product.
