Sometimes I post in a thread and after I have posted I realize that that post is way to old and the poster hadn't been around.
Just wanted to say everyone remember to look at the information by the avatars before posting.

I was thinking maybe an icon by the thread indicating if it's way old.
Just a thought.:)

A thread may be old but still relevant. Personally, I really don't care how old thread is or even if the OP is no longer a member.

yeah but alot of people, especially newbies, pull old threads forward and respond to them, and they address the OP, who sometimes was banned. Responding to a banned person serves no purpose, especially if it was a troll thread.

Every post in every thread has a date on it.

Even each forum menu has the date of origin of the thread and the date of the last post in that thread.

If people don't notice the post dates, then I highly doubt that that they would notice an icon denoting a thread as being ancient.

Boy, do I know what you mean! The only problem is the information is already available and we don't notice it, so what are the chances we'd notice the little added feature any better? :D
