It would be nice if we could get an additional room that non-members can access.

When a seeker or Muslim comes into the Bible study room, and asks questions, many folks get downright rude with him. They will start saying things like "This isn't Muslim chat". In addition, the Muslim quite often gets banned for preaching Islam when the guy is simply responding to questions. Also, it ends up being overwhelming for them if everyone is hitting them up with questions.

Due to the new rules which require a subscription to access other rooms, this becomes a problem. The person can't be taken to a private room for conversations.

At least once, I've paid for a membership then the person ends up getting banned so I am not so open minded to that anymore. I paid for a whole year for one person and he ended up getting banned within a month.

Anyways I'd appreciate it if you'd give that some thought.

Regards,

Robert

Ok...let's do a reversal, shall we? What would a true CHRISTIAN go into an islamic chatroom for? Come on now, be honest. Is the CHRISTIAN there to share his faith? Most likely. Will the CHRISTIAN leave, with ideas of changing to islam? Extremely doubtful. Will the CHRISTIAN instantly leave Islamic? NO! Will there be others in the chatroom who will say "This isn't a CHRISTIAN chat"? YES...very likely. Will the CHRISTIAN get banned for 'preaching Christianity" when he is really responding to questions from the islamics? Most Likely he will, because he is giving honest answers that islamics do not like.

So..after reading the reversal ( which, incidentally, did happen to me), what do you think? Let's face it...islamic chatrooms need to be created by those who are islamic or have an interest in it. DId atheists create CHRISTIAN chats? Do single people, seeking other single people, create family chatrooms? Catch my drift?

I do not pity anyone who can read and understand the chatroom name and still chooses to enter. When anyone enters a CHRISTIAN chatroom, they should expect CHRIST to be the supreme topic..otherwise, go to the PET chatroom if you are looking for ways to deal with your poodle.

How about a "Non Christian, but Got Questions" room? That would give room for other beliefs, and Muslims. It would also make it clear that the person asking the question isn't coming from a Christian angle, so we avoid the whole "What's wrong with you? You're supposed to know this stuff, it's really basic" attitude.

Added bonus, Christians can ask people from other religions what they believe for a limited topic. (Like I've asked Jews how they deal with the law now that most don't live near Jerusalem to sacrifice and it's a long trip to bring a goat to be sacrificed.)

(I'm just another user, but I agree with you.)

I think if the Simple Bible room was available to non subscribers this would work for the purposes of evangelizing.

Tonight, the same thing happened. People were arguiong about different denominations while a Muslim seeker was in the room. He was confused all to pieces over the discussion of different Christian denominations.

He is a seeker and is not proclaiming Islam.

Cults were being brought up as well. This didn't help the situation. To a Muslim a cult like the Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons might look just as valid as an Evangelical church.

Additionally topics like "deliverance ministries" or conspiracy theories are constantly being brought up. One evening someone was claiming that the ISIS executions were staged by the US Government and were not real. Besides being insulting to Christians who were being martyred, the same Muslim seeker was in there listening.

The environment in the Bible study room would be so confusing to a seeker. I can see where a Muslim would discount Christianity completely due to the mass confusion and arguing and unsound assertions that are being paraded there. If the person could be taken to another room to discuss more basic topics with them, it would be better.

Maybe opening the Prayer Room would be a good idea.

Creating forums for people of other beliefs has already been discussed recently and the site owner is staunchly against creating a place on the site that may be seen as an encouragement of people from other faiths/beliefs to come and teach their beliefs. No matter what the intent of the room it would breed debate.
And that's another issue with this idea. The same people who argue in the bible study room will be the same ones to tend these rooms of other suggestions. And they will still argue and debate. Just making a rule about what can and cannot be said won't change anything as it has no effect with the other rooms.
