I know no one wants any user to be able to delete the vast majority of post on here, but is there anyway to set up some coding so we can delete post with "+91-9XXXXXXXXXXX" phone numbers in the title? Right now we're being bombarded with this on the BDF forum, and I know it's because it's the admin and mods aren't online right now. Is that possible?

Yeah, I know, but I notice they tend to attack in the wee hours of the eastern time zone in the US, so I suspect that's around evening in whatever country they're from. It also seems to coincide when mods and admins aren't around, (they have lives or something ), so I thought maybe those of us who don't have lives (like me lol) can zip in a quick exit for just those kinds of scammers.

I don't even know if that's possible in message board coding, but it looked like a good idea.

there should be a language filter that the board admins can turn on/off and add words to.
but adding strings of numbers to a language filter is tricky - you don't necessarily want all numerals to be taboo!
also using the language filter would just ********* - out the offending words (or numbers) and wouldn't delete posts/threads automatically, i think, or prevent the thread/post from being put. it might prevent content from being posted, i don't know specifically.
at any rate filtering content for numbers might catch threads or posts that are legitimate.

weird how an human can immediately see something and know it's spam, but it's really hard to write a computer code to make decisions that easily or that well! God has certainly made us wonderfully, and we are not such wonderful creators ourselves :)

Well, since it's the same troll posting many spams, and the number is the usual length and designation for a phone number, wouldn't astrisking it out show the person he/she/it is just wasting time posting more? I can't see why anyone would need to ad that many numbers in the title for any reason. Then we only see the one spam and they're off to find another site to invade. Seems like s win-win.

This is a bot:

"Just phone call at 800-secularhermit and you will receive a quick answer for ALL your problems..."

I have seen that attack and I felt how foolish that is: He "thinks" ppl are so fool to pay a visit on those ads that machine sent.

I wish things were better, on CC.
