There is no book club here because this is a CHAT site, NOT a book club website. lol.. The suggestions forum here is for suggestions to make this site better, but here's a suggestion: research on Google about forming and breaking habits, and building discipline. Google will give the answers you look for, CC won't. :)

To give you a Real answer that ties in to your question.
There is no book forum because the individual threads that people create rarely last more than a week. So if there isn't enough activity for a single thread there sure won't be enough for an entire section.
Also this is not a new suggestion.

Eeek, I missed a thread on books!

You could always start a generic book thread in the misc forums and see if it stays alive, there are many bookworms here, but probably not enough for a separate forum section

There SOO ought to be a bookclub! (even if this is a chat site and not a bookclub site!) :)

Agreed. The OP hasn't posted again after this thread though ... hmmm

Actually, we CAN make a book club, it's just a matter of creating a group

The Bible is actually a collection of books... :)

But that is not the point...
:)
Count the number of books in this picture...

'No series of books in human history has maintained the supernatural internal consistency that is present within the pages of the Bible. From the first book of Genesis to the last book of Revelation, approximately 40 men penned individual treatises that combine to form the best-selling, most widely distributed, perfectly unified, flawlessly written book ever produced. Mere human genius could never have accomplished such an extraordinary feat. As the psalmist aptly spoke of God’s Word 3,000 years ago: “The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever” (Psalm 119:160).' :)

I don't think you even read my post, so in a nutshell: God's Word is one.
Oh my... I read your post, Didymos... the fact remains... You say "count the number of books in this picture", and then post a quote that begins with "no series of books"....

Yes, God's word is one... but the Bible, although inspired by God, was writen by various hands... so... you have many books!

If you want to understand that they are all one because they were all writen by God, it's your choice... but it's a falty logic... if so, Max Lucado only wrote one book... or CS Lewis... it's not because God wrote them all that it means it's only one book...

But, as I said... you stand by whatever you want... :)
