During the past few days, I have been checking out the posts here on CC. I have noticed that there are a lot of personal attacks being posted. I have also noticed that there are some very cool people posting some really relevant stuff to this new shift of rebellion happening in the world. Without going into too much detail, I thought there should be a Forum on News related stuff dealing specifically with the controversial topic of rebellion against Christianity. I know that some Christians might feel that we need less attention focused in that direction and more focused on the Lord. I can totally agree with that. However, this issue is spreading all over the place in these forums and into our behaviors. A place designated for it might be more appropriate.

Please post an issue your concerned about.

I am in total agreement with you Sis, and I so hope and pray that they start a " sort-of- boxing or wrestling arena in here somehow, and leave the DINNER TABLE TO GO THERE...........My KING and Yours indeed is not pleased with fights started in The Kitchen.......

THIS IS WHERE HE WANTS US TO " SUP " WITH HIM..............PEACEFULLY, ENJOYING OUR FELLOWSHIP MEALS WITH HIM..........

So, let the bell ring in this arena somewhere else! GOOD ONE COACH.........

Christianity is irreconcilable with scientific finding particularly voodoo science. I'm just glad the evolution theory is a disgruntled theory. We are seeing more and more examples of the Lords existence, bringing all of us closer to one another.

God bless

So you are suggesting that we post items in this thread similar to the "Smut for Smut" issue, and discuss how rebellious acts like this are causing "Christians" to act in a worldly manner toward one another here at CC?

If I understand you correct, I think both popular music and television shows - even commercials teach people negative attitudes. I can think of a commercial I have seen recently. The woman says: "I used to share everything with my husband, not any more."

The commercial is about vitamin pills I think, and it glorifies adultery. As ridiculous as I might sound, that commercial does glorify adultery, and having a garbage attitude toward your mate.

Television programs where everyone picks on the stupid person, or commercials like the M&M commercials with the Peanut M&M who has self confidence issues and is picked on because of it; I think this is negative and encourages people to treat others like dirt.

I heard a song playing on the radio at McDonalds today. The song was rap and the message was something like this: "I'm hot, I'm hot, I'm hot because I'm Fly. You're not, You're not, you're not because your not." A theme like this puts other people down and is adversarial for no reason whatsoever.

I have noticed that girl movies are especially vile, like the Cinderella remake I saw on the Woman's channel. The girls are terribly mean to the girl who is not popular because they are jealous of her.

I just think Christians need to be more tolerant to the less fortunate non-believers. It's that simple.

I think its a great idea. I post some very controversial stuff on very controversial topics. I catch a lot of flack over it and I find myself being "stern" with others that don't see it the way I do. Bible discussion forum seems crowed with all these topics so a new forum would defiantly ease the tension. Those that want to discuss Biblical issues without some of the newer controversial topics would defiantly benefit from it and so would the people posting it and those that enjoy discussing it.

You guys are great AMAZING thinkers! :D
Very sensitive to the spirit and loving people. Thanks for the reply.

It was after I saw that atheist bible video post that made me think of it. Yeah.. I agree that there is so much in the media that is influencing people. My thought was -what intentional acts are actually being done. Some people can see clearly that these messages are way too inappropriate and way too intrusive to the spirit, but others find it stimulating to their senses and supporting their egos. I for one am offended by even the slightest disrespect and perversion. This might be due to the fact that I am a mother and teacher. I prefer to maintain the innocence for young children. I see the spirit as a delicate sensitive baby girl. One who watches everything and feels every emotion-influence. I know that it is really not practical for us to be this sensitive. It may appear to others as emotional instability for an adult to be so sensitive. However, if we lose the awareness and balance, we also lose the ability to protect that spirit and our brothers/sisters. Some people are struggling with a heightened sensitivity due to so much stress in the world. Some people are oblivious to the harm they create- such as trend fed ego inspired individuals. So yea they sell their identity for a $, popularity-attention, or for a SENSORY need, to only feel regret once awakened...if they ever do. Some aimlessly dominate situations with a fly by night theory that may change over the slightest "In" inspirational new philosophy. These situations I was not really thinking of when I made the suggestion. The suggestion was made because there are more direct things going on which I feel directly effect the freedom and reputation of "christian".

Sympathy for a non-believer: I was not a believer. I was definitely not open to being one. Often, I also struggle with "faith". What still remains aside from me and others is that there is an established foundation. This has nothing to do with an individual, but with a spirit. I personally want to protect the spirit in me and for those I care for. I am now developing an interest in wanting to protect it for every christian because I see them as part of a family I would like to be apart of and have my kids around. There are many non christians that I feel are great people and are really reliable. I am not trying to be anti-nonchristians here. Though I also see friends and family members who keep falling away from what is healthy for them, and getting involved in something that effects everyone around them.

Happycamper...I agree that we should demonstrate the Love the Lord has given to us more. But... I would also have felt hopeless and confused if I were in the temple that people made a market place and saw Jesus supporting it. Validation and conviction is an important guide sometimes.

I actually created that thread so we could all rally behind something we all agreed on. Was that wrong of me? I dunno, I had the best of intentions.

No, I wasn't saying anything bad Miktre, that thread of yours is fantastic. I was just trying to understand what Shanay was trying to tell us. I thought she was talking about a thread but she was talking about an entire forum. I just wasn't grasping things. I'm sleepy.

I was trying to say: "So you are suggesting that we post news items in this thread that are of similar controversy as the "Smut for Smut" attack on Christianity, and discuss how rebellious acts - such as these Atheists trading porn for Bibles - is warping Christian's minds and causing them to act in a worldly manner toward other Christians.

I wasn't attacking you Miktre.

I know I'm going to be killed because of this, but if non beleivers are just going to attack us Christians for our faith then they can leave.

I agree with you Toby, Christians have a hard enough time getting through Bible discussions without certain non believers causing chaos.

My favorite verses when I see the world trying to attack or harass Christianity...

Psa 2:1 Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 "Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us."
Psa 2:4 He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.
Psa 2:5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying,
Psa 2:6 "As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill."
