Misquoting Scripture

Hi Chuckt.

You happened to say a quote of moses wacking the rock , sorry about that ,,,It was not a rock and when the facts are presented and not in the king james you will find it was of a different detail do some history of the surrounding area and find what was there a rock that is not loose or cracked or is solid wont give or let water come from it,

you will find a spring underneath is in this case a loose cracked rock formation that was not solid and when you look closer at that rock you will find it was covered over with a covering of like lichen or a formation of crust of absorbing substance that blocked the water from coming out unless as is what mose,s did wacked it first time it did not break the surface so the water could not come out or so he thought,

the water would have come out just it takes time to come through the crust moses got angry and could not wait so wacked it again , mind you knowing people as I do very impatient and when you do a water search under the ground what ever depth you will find water coming from a long distance away form a water surply.

If you do a geology search you will be surprised how much water there is stored under ground ,

In fact had there been no water there in the first place there would not be any substance like lichen so that also tells you what was there, interesting I forgot about that part .and sorry I don't remember the details of that covering like substance it was 40 years ago I knew about it ,

if you think that is a man of God...perhaps you should review the fruit of the Spirit and what the word humble means

God has had and has mercy on me which is why I don't fall for this kind of religious CRAP

FEAR is NOT of God

The fear of man is a stumbling block

Crown no man king

If anyone is in fear of man, they need to be set free

Any man that demands obedience ABOVE the fear of God, does NOT represent God...that man, represents himself and anyone who follows THAT man is in bondage

religious people are offended by Jesus, because All authority belongs to Him, and religion is man trying to control. Jesus is freedom, religion bondage. That's really why the religious leaders are responsible for Jesus death. they were threatened By His authority and power, threatened that people would follow Him and forsake them. religion and Jesus don't mix at all. religion hates to hear that but its true.

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Luke 12:5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

Satan quoted the Scripture perfectly, but that was some serious misquoting.

Jesus said, I am the bread of life

so, I will feast on Him...like He said, not everyone can understand this

we study scripture to know the truth...the truth sets us free to KNOW Christ

God never said try to act lovingly, he said Love one another. Gods words aren't flexible. they are absolute so that we end up on our knees calling out for Jesus. we can try everything until we realize He is our everything. Love is found in Jesus Christ, His nature is Love. Love is who we are to become, aim for, try for. Love is our top priority actually, we need to make it the greatest commandment.

amen if you read a great story and I asked what it was about, I'm assuming you would tell me your understanding of it...what it is about. what the message is. great stuff ember. Knowing what the message is, and not only how to spell or phrase the words. I could wuote 1000 scriptures but id rather see the message and understand what its telling me to do. Living and active

what good is anything if it does not translate into daily living?

you know, that requires a real stretching of ourselves...dying to self and living for Christ

it is a constant everyday reality and struggle with the flesh

thank God, Jesus is our righteousness

The first one was what Jesus said to satan when he said, I'll do some effort to do you a favor and not say it in my own words:
oh lol I'm glad I did, he didn't even quote a text, that's the next verse. You remind me of that theologian in a students' home. He was called Stephen. He's now quite something in Holland and I just hang around and play with my rabbits, lol I said to him once in my enthusiasm: yes but when Philip got stoned..
He said with this dry voice: Stephen.

Anyways I meant this kind of misquoting is serious, not mistake Philip with Stephen of miss a few words.
Btw whats his name said to that other disciple: Look we found Jesus the son of Joseph.
Quite a mistake, but Jesus didn't rebuke him and the guy became a disciple.

*And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7*Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

See? You even ended up saying the same thing I did. All we can do is TRY to love. It does not come because we feel we have been "commanded" to make it happen.

1 Corinthians 10:4 and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.

Other translations say the rock followed them.
