If a persons thread gets closed....that an explanation is given as to why the thread is closed. Thanks.

Some threads get closed because they haven't been posted to in over three months and some in over six!

It kinda seems like when kids have a toy at the bottom of their toybox they never play with anymore. They only notice once the parent does some cleaning and removes it. Which begs the question, if they really cared that much about it,why didn't they use it still?

Closed threads can still be searched and viewed by everyone. But for the sake of maintaining some kinda order in the forums, from time to time we'll close threads that just haven't been posted to in a LOOOOOOOOONG time.

Also some threads get closed because tensions escalate and it's just going toward a repetitive conflicting end.

Sometimes we do thread closing by the mass, meaiing many at once. We don't have the time to message people over 200+ threads that get closed at once because they haven't been posted to for two or more months. We kinda assume if they haven't been used for two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight or more months, then they aren't really concerned about their thread anymore anyways.

But that's only those threads that clearly haven't been used for months.

If your thread is active still and gets closed, feel free to cc mail me and ask. :D

Makes sense.....was just a suggestion. :) I understand that *housekeeping* needs to be done every once in awhile.

Yup, but it is a good idea for us to message folks if we close one of their threads they're currently posting too.
