Dear friends in Christ,

I'm still a NEWBE here so perhaps I'm just missing something?

BUT it seems to me this FORUM would be a-lot more interactive IF when we post, we are notified and somehow connected to the reply to our comments, so a dialog can ensue.

WHAT do you think?

I think you need to turn on your thread subscription notifications. :) Then you'll get an email whenever someone replies. Though that would be ALOT of emails. Better to just check on the thread every now and again.

This is not a new suggestion. If i recall correctly it is an issue with the vBullettin software that the site is built around.

It would be a nice feature to have. XenForo offers this feature. I'm not sure if any version of vBulletin does.

Is this what you are talking about? It has an option for sending email daily, instantly or weekly

He means when someone clicks 'Reply' or Reply with quote' that you get alerted to that specific individuals response to your post. Like if you were to get notified of my responding to you, instead of just getting alerted to every post put in the thread. Or none of them, like how mine is set up haha.

This is what I do – it is very easy and works very well for me:

Click the “settings” button in the upper right hand part of your screen. This will show you all threads you have posted on, that have new posts.

Then click any thread you want to visit. You will be taken to the first new post.

Then use the “control-F” function on your computer and type in your screen name. The computer will then take you to any posts in that thread that contain your name. (When people quote you, your name will appear in that post.)

This is a quick, easy way to find any threads where you are being quoted.
