Just putting in a suggestion for a forum I would love to have, that has only one rule, you are not to speak from yourself in it, just for an alternative place to post the word of God, and compare without the nastiness that becomes most of the threads in BDB.

A subform there where Gods words are welcomed but not our own (beyond a God bless, or Peace be with you) as a place of rest from it.

The bible verse thread can go in it, there was another thread I thought was fun started by Th0mas I thought was fun (geared the same way) called "answering" there was yet another by JasonJ which I loved, a place where the mouths are just shut (where there is no question about it) no having to deal with it, it is what is is and theres absolutely no question when it starts up there.

Besides, it might even do the board good too because instead of folks coming in only to depart again because of the nastiness and constant warring theres a healthier alternative available to them.

Just a suggestion.

guys I honestly don't think any of our suggestions are going to happen but even so it doesn't hurt to post them, I would think that this suggestion is a good idea but the problem is that hardly anyone has enough self control to abide by it. I mean the bible discussion forum was not is not and never will be a debating forum it was made for discussions not a war zone but as you can see that didn't turn out as planned.

Scripture has great power a single verse has more power in it than a nuke but it also can make two people at each others throats and the scripture only has to be posted and then a difference in understanding takes it from there

Could we do something like someone else buy a board and link to such a board (at the members cost) and own ability to moderate it if that one rule was broken?

I would flip both the bill and moderate it freely.

(Again, just a suggestion).

It wouldnt be my nightmare but my pleasure actually

if you mean owning a forum board and linking to that board I wouldn't if I were you. you see my account was frozen for quite a long time because I owned a Christian forum at the time and I had friends here who helped me moderate it but what I didn't know is that were recruiting ppl here in cc and the mods found out and they thought I was recruiting when I was completely unaware of it happening and I think linking a board would be considered doing that in which case won't end up well. ever since then I have not made another forum even though I have the desire to do so and I have the perfect name for it and have the money to get it set it up but fear of that incident makes me not do it

I am asking if its easier to buy the board for this board, meaning that if its too much trouble (or expense) to offer a subforum to that effect I am asking that as an option. Meaning if money to produce one, could be taken in that particular direction so as to link it.

Not for followers or profits but an anothers expense for option out of the vileness

This concept is like golf to me. I do understand people enjoy it, but I will never understand why.

Do you think there is a forum out there for Harry Potter fans to post their favorite sentences from that series too? Being a fan of both, I'd just rather read it from beginning to end in context to get the fuller context than to post a sentence (or less) from here and there to try and make it into something else.
