Hello all..

On some forums i have been a part of they had a notifications feature that informed you when someone had replied to one of your posts in the forum.. I would really like to have such a feature on CC.. It is hard to remember all the threads you have been involved in and it is disappointing when you come back to an old thread and find out that someone asked you a question or responded to you and because you forgot about that thread you have not responded or continued on with the discussion..

So is there a possibility for this feature to be introduced on CC?

thanks..

This has been suggested many times already. Have never heard of any response from site owner of its just not possible or any other reasons given as to why it has never been implemented.
Your profile page does show all of your posts though.

I don't believe I have seen a single suggestion made here that was ever taken into consideration. This section seems to just a place to let us get our griping out of our systems.

If you were to browse back through years worth of suggestions you would find that a number have been implemented, just sometimes it takes quite a while for RoboOp to get around to some of the ideas that he feels are worthwhile due to other tasks that are higher priority.

The forums themselves, since they are off the shelf software (vBulletin) we are somewhat limited to what CC can customize.

If time or money or software prohibits certain things that's understandable. But it may benefit Robo to give some sort of answer to repeat requests, such as this one. Perhaps a sticky thread where he can posts answers to commonly requested changes that can't be done with a brief explanation.
Often times the general consensus is 'Robo ignores the suggestions' so doing this could help.

If you go into your General Settings, under Messaging and Notification, is this option:

"When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread."

It's not exactly what you're suggesting, but it could help.

Basically, you want a notification if someone has quoted you?

When you click "Settings" (upper right), it lists all the threads you've posted on in, order of the latest post.

I think it would be simple with the inbox already built.

You could leave a tab with your email open while using the sight, you get emails sent to your sign up email telling you of replays to threads, this is almost what your asking for.
