Im so tired of hearing everybody talking about politics in the lounge and bible study, even prayer room.
The lounge is for casual relaxing, the bible study is for..bible study, and prayer room is for prayer.
It ruins the vibe going on in every room. Politics does not belong in faith fellowship. Give them a place to go argue.

Perhaps they should limit it to politics as it relates to eschatology?

The Lounge is an open topic chat. So if that's the topic, it's allowed to be the topic. Not everyone is always going to like the topic in the room. I used to sit in the Lounge and have to listen to them talk about toilets and feces. With mods present. Even involved. Didn't like it but it's an open topic room regardless of my, or your, opinion of the topic.
And while I hate the topic myself, this idea that it has no room in our faith or discussions is simply an opinion, and a bad one at that.

Ugly,
Im not saying it has no room in our discussion, just that it should be moved to a topic room so that it does not take over the intent for other rooms. When people talk about the bible in lounge others often say to move it to bible study. When theres casual chat in prayer room they are asked to go to lounge.
Im not trying to limit freedom of speech. Just saying they should make a room for politics so when people are trying to relax, study, or pray that they are not bombarded by arguments and negativity.
