I may even builder a website for brokering other people's unused threads.

Five isn't very many. The Lord might want to speak to us through you, or someone else on this site, but if he's limited to five threads a week, his hands are tied somewhat. If there is going to be a limit, I would suggest a number higher than five a week.

well often times cc can get a bit slow there are days when I want to chat and discuss things but threads are responded by a 2 hour difference and if we limit the threads made that would make things even slower. Besides as long as it's not the same subject over and over I think some fresh threads are healthy.

Is it annoying to see new threads? I know it's annoying for sure to see dead threads being pulled up for no reason at all and that is one of my pet peeves perhaps constant new threads is yours?

not that anyone cares, but I have long maintained that new threads...or the ability to create new threads, should be curtailed when it comes to new members

that, would limit trolling and give time for people to prove themselves to be genuine and not here to simply annoy

currently, Mr 88 who began his residence here in the middle of Nov of this year, begins several new threads every day...if you ask me, that should not be...no personal reflection on 88...simply the fact of his nouveau status and obvious fascination with the begin a new thread button

carry on

I don't have enough caffeine in my little system...

who is limited? God or the poster?

IMO, God is limited by posters already...:p

what bugs me personally, are the duplicate threads...some one stops should be created for those who love to argue their fav topic...over and over and over and over and............repeat and rinse

i used to go to this forum that had a rule that you had to have 100 posts before you start your own thread I tihnk it worked out well. And ya 88 makes a butt load of threads and rarely ever responds to them. That is a pet peeve of mine as well people making a thread and then never responding though i am guilty of this too I tend to sometimes get distracted lol

On a Christian website, those making rules should pray to the Lord for guidance. That's what makes it a Christian website.

There are some people the Lord would have difficulty speaking through. As a matter of fact, in some cases, only the most mature on the site would be able to understand the Lord's messages and pass them on to the rest.

I agree.

I urge the mods to create a new "bureau of revelation",
to test all threads for revelatory authenticity.

If any threads are found NOT to come directly from God...
well...
ummm...
I'm not sure really.

I guess the authors have to be put to death.

I guess maybe.

Maybe not.

Maybe we can just maim them a little.

It's not like we have to maim them all over...
just maim them a little here and there.

Point being: I don't think too much censorship is a good idea.

It's not just that, but people who posts an essay full of information in one post is ridiculous. I don't want to read a wall of text if I wanted to do that I would read a book. I believe there needs to be a 100 character limit per post

5 is just too little.....
I don't think I post too many threads constantly,
But I have had days where I need a prayer, and a Bible question answered, and questions regarding family answered.
So basically if it was limited to 5 I'd pretty much be screwed if I wanted to post more things during the week

I think some long messages are worth reading and are long because they need to be long to include everything.
If you don't want to read them well.....
Don't read them

I get that, but there are particular people that do it constantly and the same thing could be said in fewer words
