Default Special Forums for Specific Local Church's Fellowship

Not sure if you can make modifications for any local church to have an exclusive sub-forum for pastor and elders to chat with the members of their congregation.

I think you would have to solicit the idea to a local church by e-mail to see if they find that appealing so they can ask questions from their pastors or elders that they otherwise would not have time for in Sunday school classes or during a sermon.

I think the exclusive part is to keep out those outside their local church that would otherwise share beliefs not consistent with the church. If the pastor & church knows that nobody will draw the little ones astray because of that exclusiveness, they may go for it.

Of course, that does not prevent any member or pastor to go elsewhere in the forum, but it is to be understood that a sub forum can be created for a local church to chat in or to even post a question that they are afraid to ask in church.

It is the duty of that church to inform all members of the congregation participating that they should be grounded in the word & church traditions before venturing out to other parts of this forum.

At any rate, this is a suggestion on how this site could provide a means for churches to grow more in the word that would not be otherwise available except Sunday and whatever plus days they have fellowship during the week, if at all.

The first thing a tyrant wants to do is prevent his flock from hearing what outsiders are saying. Also, the more forums you add to this website, the more confusing it is for newcomers.

Jim Jones comes to mind, for those of you old enough to remember.

That would be a Massive undertaking for one person to take on. Not to mention the expense. Fb already allows this anyways. Making private groups and allowing them to post. Don't know why a single site owners should shoulder the time and financial responsibility for something so large when a rich, larger, more popular and heavily staffed site already offers it.

Or they can use the group option which is similar to a subforum that can be set to private setting.

However most pastors I know would prefer more direct control available through other medias. Email, facebook, etc. I am sure there is something like what is used by universities that allows live discussions for church members if folks wanted that. Skype, whatsapp, etc

Perhaps this church can create their own web site to do what you have described rather than CC. I believe that it would be cost prohibitive to redesign this site for the purpose you have in mind and would be almost impossible to moderate.

And what is to prevent a false prophet from coming in to lead the flock astray? If you would be offended by someone coming into your church and stand up beside your preacher and start countering what he is preaching, even to offend the little children, how is your preacher a tyrant?

1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

This is about providing fellowship within that local church for any time of the day at christian chat.

Also, the more forums you add to this website, the more confusing it is for newcomers.
If this site wants to draw more christians in, they should consider how to draw churches in as well. They may agree with you that it may be too much work and so we shall continue to see in all christian forums what is obviously missing across the internet is a chat forum for local churches.

Providing fellowship for outside the local church at christian chat is hardly a Jim Jones application when any member of that local congregation are free to roam outside that sub forum into the regular part of christian chat.

Since there are so much false teachings in here at christian chat and arguing & in some cases, name calling going on, it is hardly conducive to walking in the Spirit.

That is like having a bunch of Jim Jones walking around in here.

Which is why having an exclusive sub forum for a local church may be an appeal to even some members in here to have their church having an exclusive sub forum in here to chat with other members when everybody has more time during the day to do such a thing in fellowship.

Course, the admin would have to pray about this.

Jesus is the shepherd. We should be following him. When one person tries to control a group of people, he his substituting himself for the Lord.

Do you give your pastor this same grief? I am sure he knows Jesus is the Shepherd as I do.

I don't even go to church because of iniquity abounding and none are open to reformation.

Just as this forum is abounding with some members as false prophets teaching iniquity.

It would be nice if everybody here submit to the Word of God as our Good Shepherd in confirming His words in the KJV are the ones to go by to reprove all works of darkness that all modern Bibles do not.

    But...I digress.

It doesn't look like this site will do that for local churches to draw more members in. It probably can't be done. It is not a secure site anyway because the https// is not in front of the address.

It was just a suggestion anyway. I withdraw the suggestion on the basis that this is not a secure site.
