It was my suggestion and a question at first. You were the first to come up with the BS and judgmental comments. This is a thread for "If you "Have a suggestion for Christian Chat" I gave my suggestion you rudely came against my suggestion. You obviously disagree which is fine with me; we can just agree to disagree, but let me say wisdom doesn't necessarily come with years of experience. Some people never learn. You shouldn't judge Christians based on how long they've been on this forum. Finally, I have been all over the world, preaching the gospel, and I have obeyed Luke 14:33 to do it. Oh, and please do take care of that eye.

Sometimes a person can see things in one day that others can't see in years. We all have blind spots. I never judged you ugly. I just said you were wrong. I suggest you read Mt. 7.

Everybody is welcome on the site, as far as I know.

What purpose would it serve to have a non-Christian forum? Christianity has everything you need to know to go to heaven. Perhaps you could say the same thing about Judaism. However, if you mix the two together, you're only going to cause confusion.

I never asked if we could have or makes this a non Christian forum or to change the forum from its main purpose. I simply suggested a designated section for interreligious or comparative religion so that we can witness to non Christians.

Muslims for example know more about the Bible than many Christians, and they quote Scripture, but they often take the verses out of context. Christians can help them see the gospel in context, but this suggested section of mine are only for those who like to debate with people of other faiths.

It is not for everyone, but only for those who are rooted and grounded in the word and know the Lord. I think it is a good idea that is all. It is my suggestion. I don't understand why all the responses are making a mountain out of this suggestion.

I have been on Muslims forums with Catholics, Muslims, non denominational Christians and Jews where no one was confused each knew what they believed, and we all debated. This wouldn't be a section for babes in Christ.

Those non Christians could only stay in a comparative religious section, and they would have to be civil and respectful. It is not a big deal. I just think it is a great idea and suggestion. I like challenges. I also think it is a way that Christians can sharpen their witnessing skills; It is written "they that be wise and turn many unto righteousness shall shine as the stars forever and ever."

We go to church to be equipped for ministry. So the suggestion was to experience what we'll be facing out in the world. It is safer to do it here were other Christians can expose the error and clear the confusion in unbelievers.

If a Muslim came on here and said, "You Christians believe in three gods and you associate partners to god. Your Bible is corrupted" Would he or she be banned?

I wouldn't ban them, but I'd have them explain their rationale. I would tell them we believe in one God. You have misconceptions about Christianity and the Bible is not corrupted.

Islam has imperfectly borrowed from the gospel and Judeo Christianity; for instance, Islam borrowed the virgin birth story of Jesus from the gospel and got the concept of heaven and hell from the gospel along with monotheism from Judeo Christianity.

We believe Jesus is associated to God as His word. God word is associated to Him as my word is to me and yours to you. We believe God is one and Jesus is His word; We believe God is Spirit and He is Holy; therefore, He is the Holy Spirit.

Muslims believe and must say Allah is one and Muhammad is his messenger; that is an idolatrous association, but when Christians associate Jesus to God as His Word it is not idolatrous.

This is just a small example of possible dialogues I have had with them, but I can fill books with the discussions and debates I've been involved with

Your posts keep getting longer. I only have the patience to read a paragraph or two.

Okay, then why didn't you address the first paragraph? When you respond it sounds like your not reading enough to understanding where I am coming from.

I see your heart is for telling people about Jesus and that is a good desire.

However there are many non Christians on here and they only get banned When they stalk, are rude or really disrespectful.....not because they are non Christians but because they broke forum rules. Folks who claim to be Christian get banned for the same reason.

If you really want to be on the mission field here on CC ,check out the new member forum. Most non Christians post there IF they are actually searching for more information on Jesus and our beliefs as Christians.

Thanks Ariel, that is constructive information. I understand if someone breaks the rules they should be banned. I just don't think a Muslim or unbeliever coming on should be banned for promoting his faith or atheism, because IMHO, he is a captive audience on a Christian forum. Let's claim him or her for Christ. That was my only point. I can't relate or identify with any OP to this. Sorry if I offended anyone that wasn't my intention. I just call it the way I see it.

We have a lot of people who read along and some who, have actually accepted Christ after spending years here. You can read some of their stories in the testimony forum.

Hmmm they must have cleaned up some because there used to be more testimonies...I guess server space might be limited.

I meant to say that if someone breaks the rules, they shouldn't be banned quickly without a warning in my opinion. I don't think that is the case.

This is a Christian website. If people from other faiths want to come here to learn, that would be great. But if they want to come here to discuss their own faith, then this is no longer a Christian website. I don't think most of us want that to happen.

You can only speak for yourself. My suggestion was if someone from another faith stayed within the proper section of comparative religion, I would engage them there as long as they remain civil; they can speak about their religion as I expose it to the light of truth and the gospel, and they hopefully be won to Christ. I am sure other Christians would engage them there too.

Christians that don't have the faith for that kind of dialogue don't have to engage in that section on the forum. And those of other faiths cannot push their belief in the undesignated areas of the forum. This is my suggestion . take it for what it is worth.

Personally, I find those that refer to themselves as Christians preaching weird doctrine and having no interest to be led by God's Spirit much more insidiously dangerous then those who are openly against the gospel, because of their misconceptions of Christianity namely Muslims. I believe all Christians should make it their business to contend for their faith against Islam. It is true that all it takes for evil to spread is for good people to do nothing. We are only good in Christ.

When I went on a Muslim forum, I stayed within their comparative religious section; they eventually couldn't handle me after several thousand posts and one Muslim converted back to Christianity (I was then banned), but they got a very clear message of the gospel. I know I destroyed a lot of misconceptions they had about Christianity. And that word still lives on accomplishing God's purpose. You probably are not going to read this far, but please don't patronize me again by telling me this is a Christian forum.

I know you are speaking for yourself; the reason I said that is because you said you don't think most of us want that to happen, but it shouldn't be about what most of us wants; it should only be about what God wants, and God is not willing that any should perish, but that all could come to the knowledge of truth.

I understand the need for just a venue for fellowship where your faith doesn't come under fire. That is why I said there could be a designated area for witnessing to people that are in bondage to false religions. Personally, if most other Christians don't agree with this, then I cannot relate to most other Christians.

I said, "Most of us want that to happen"? I don't have time to go back and read all the posts to figure out what you are talking about.

I'll say it again. This is a Christian website. Christianity provides a path to heaven. If you want to turn it into an all-religion website, go ahead, but what good will it do you?

That is just the point. You don't understand what I am talking about and yet you respond. If you don't have time to go back and understand the situation, don't respond until you do understand. I never said turn this forum into other than a Christianity forum. And I am tired of explaining and paraphrasing what I've already said. If you are interested, go back and reread or don't respond to what you're not understanding.
