in a attempt to save the mods some time im going to post a link to the alias feature(below) and give a lil info on how to use it(to the best of my knowledge please feel free to correct me if im wrong)

this is the link to the alias feature- http://christianchat.com/profile.php?do=editoptions#privatechatnotice (copy and paste to your browser)
there are instructions on how to use it there but for convenience im going to put them here
Bling Aliases (New!) If someone addresses you by typing your exact username in the main text chat, the chat app will "bling" you, to alert you. But what if they abbreviate your username, or type a variant of it, or your real name? Well you can add aliases here, and then you'll be blinged anytime anybody types any of these aliases as well.

Note: Don't be redundant. If one alias is contained in another alias, just put the shorter one. Example: Suppose your username is "ScoobyDoo". So you want to add the aliases "Scooby" and also "Scoob". Well you only need to add "Scoob" here because the other alias "Scooby" already contains "Scoob".

If you put more than one alias here, simply put a SPACE between them (no commas).

If you are presently logged into the chat rooms, any changes you make here will not take effect until you re-enter the chat rooms. for a example this is what and how i entered in the text box- kyle ranger
notice how to add 2 alias all i did was 1 space between them

all that's left to do is scroll to the bottom of the page and click "save changes"

i hope that this helps

Basically the idea is to alert you if someone is talking to you.

Sometimes (esp for us Mods) it's just NOT POSSIBLE to be giving our full, undivided attention to the room. If you're working in another window, or doing something else, or afk, or even already in PM with someone or whatever, you might not realise if someone in the room is talking to you.

So this feature has been set up so when someone types your name, you are alerted, and then you can respond. It's especially helpful for Mods, but I'm sure numerous people will benefit too.

Anyways... that's the idea of it! :)

There were some issues with it earlier today but I think I fixed it. Let me know if any problems with it now.
