Lol I read that book. Still have yet to read Wild at Heart, but then again it seems less interesting because I already largely know how I behave and the reasons behind my behavior.

Genuine question: Does it help men with sexual issues to talk about it -- is it really bringing them closer to being free of them -- I understand women needing support from eachother, but does it help us men in this area if what we find out is, sure, there are others like me?

Sounds as though you assume all people are the same, and that because you're a certain way, then everyone else should as well. I have a friend who has the same problem. It causes her a lot of problems as she can't seem to understand why people don't act how she does. Sounds to me like you didn't really have an addiction to begin with. Some people do things out of enjoyment, while others do those same things out of compulsion. You need to understand the difference.

(okay, I've thought about it. My experience of sponsoring a good friend in pornography rehab (after prison for child abuse), my marijuana challenge (which was only the last year of 13 years use) and my moral failures as a man have not (I'm serious) probably given me knowledge of the depths of this challenge.)

Okay, but I'm as yet still thinking there's just limited value in conversation (as different from sponsoring), and in this forum format especially. ( I am convinced it's not good place to counsel a pornography addict, in front of a computer screen.)

Still, I've learned to govern myself by journey, and I'm still up for what anyone would like to say.

I believe it would pay to have a place where men could post about their issues. We as christians should be humble, but the pride of a man can be an enormous thing. It may be that someone needs advice, it may be that they just need to not feel alone, but most of all the bible says that we should tell one another our transgressions and pray for eachother's faults. If nothing else we could pray for eachother.

I think that a place that only men could see would be a good way to start. As for teen males, they shouldn't be excluded. In this day and age when children are growing up long before its time in a world that accepts everything BUT God's ways this forum could be a very important tool for the sake of their development. One of the best ways to keep someone from smoking is to show them the cancerous lung of a smoker.

So I've seen mostly girls supporting the idea of a men's forum because of mainly topics like porn, masturbation....and well just that. I don't think they would create a forum dedidated to that, since it's only 2 topics. And just like NodMyHeadLikeYeah said, I'm tired of those too; but you ladies could just not click and open those posts, I know I avoid them too.
