After the salvation of the lost and unbelieving hinges on the atoning sacrifice of Christ at Calvary which is the power through which we are sanctified daily rightly divided study of the word, honest application thereof, and acceptance of the all-encompassing grace which is the only reason we find salvation in the first place.

I think we should just stick to the basics, we humans have a habit of over complicating things lol. I don't need to know what words like millenialism, premillenialism, preterist, partial-preterist, or eschatology mean. Those are all words created by men and I have not seen them written anywhere in the Holy Bible.
If anything, new believers should stay away from these big words and doctrines and they will save themselves a lot of confusion, remember satan is the author of confusion.

Well then, I wish everyone the best of luck in understanding 1/2 the conversations in chat! lolol
Random thought...rapture and trinity aren't written in the Bible, either.

I believe it is important for a new believer to be biblically grounded in the New Testament before moving into things like theology and such. That greatly lessens the possibility of getting confused or even deceived by false doctrines.

I concur with King (Kimber raises a good point as well). Let's - especially new believers - get more caught up in the gospel first and foremost. I'm not opposed to interest in defining and discussing related subject matter either, though.

It is a good thing that we have a Bible study room for the deep conversations, because I do like it when the Lounge is lighthearted and not too theological. Using too much Christianese can be a turnoff to new people because it is either over their heads or it comes off as sounding preachy.
