I don't know if its my computer, but I haven't changed anything and the past couple weeks or so the sound and cam images in chat have been messed up. The sound is breaking up badly no matter who is speaking and the cam images freeze up and don't change when a new person starts speaking. The blue names change but the image is the person who was on cam last. Also, my own cam just shows the first image that it recorded of me and freezes. Its whatever I was doing when the cam came online in the room.

Did CC change something in the past few weeks or so??

The problem is with the new Flash update. Mine did the same thing. If you go to your restore settings in your control panel and find a date about 2 to 3 weeks ago you should see Flash in it. Restore from that date and it will clear the new download and you should be fine. worked for me.
If your not sure where to go, find Soundguy or myself and we will try to help you through.

Actually, I don't think the issue is with the most recent Flash update. I've rolled back to stable and beta versions of Flash for Firefox, and I get the same problem as with the current version. It seems less extreme when using IE, but the problem seems to be directly related to CC.

I've heard from many that version 10.3 works fine. Oddly, have had Flash updated and the very little i've had voice/cams on don't think i've had much trouble. Maybe i just don't use it enough to notice since i don't often use voice/cam.

I use Safari and have the same exact problems, I keep waiting for it to get better. I guess it won't be! :-/

The current problems with the site are due to a bug in the latest edition of Adobe Flash player. Adobe is aware of the problem and presumably is working on a fix to the bug in their programming. Chrome users predominantly are having the problem because Chrome automatically updates Adobe when a new edition comes out. Other browsers will only be affected if you have recently updated Adobe. If you are having problems, uninstall Adobe, and reinstall the older edition of Adobe Flash player (edition 11.1).

Thanks, Oncefallen. And to the other posters, I did try Firefox with no luck and I even suspected the Flash update, but soon learned that I needed flash for the chatroom to work (duh). Didn't know that older versions were still available.

Ok, I uninstalled Flash 11 from control panel (add/remove programs), downloaded Flash 10.3 (Sept. 2011 version), installed it and sure enough it fixed it in Firefox. Yay!

But its still screwy as ever in Chrome. I'm pretty sure its because Chrome is still using Flash 11. I have no idea how to uninstall Flash from chrome or if that's even possible.

Cool! I downloaded 10.3 and I guess I'll revert to that in a minute here to really put it to the test. As for Chrome: Chrome comes with Flash already embedded in it. You can still downgrade the Flash player though, by downloading it and installing it separately. Otherwise, the version of Chrome you have is going to dictate the Flash player version you have.

You can get it from Adobe's website, or from various other file hosting sites, such as FileHippo.com - Download Free Software. :)

This is where i downloaded version 10.3 (released 9-21-2011). Scroll down a bit. You can probably use one of the newer versions of 10.3 if you want. I figured that going older would better my chances of success with the fix.

The latest update to Flash version 11.2 seems to be playing nicely with CC; although I noticed the in-chat volume slider isn't apparent anymore.

For IE: Download Flash Player 11.2.202.233 (IE) - Download - FileHippo.com

Non-IE: Download Flash Player 11.2.202.233 (Non-IE) - Download - FileHippo.com

Keep in mind that these links direct you to the 32-bit versions of Flash player 11.2. I have an old system, so I can't test the 64-bkt versions.

Also, there is a Flash version 11.3 in beta. It didn't work when I tested it, so anyone looking to update, stick with the latest patch for 11.2 (which is 11.2.202.233). Avoid 11.3. And if all else fails, use 10.3 until the problem is fixed.

Cheers!
