You have to read the new post, man (link below).
Chicago was a popular spot according to the poll, but I could find no venus to support us there and the itinerary was coming up pretty shallow for things that would be appealing to the broad interests of the entire group . A tropical cruise or all-inclusive family camp is broad enough to appeal to a vast majority who are trying to double this trip as a retreat AND vacation, whereas the options for Chicago were too taste-specific for what we were aiming for. Orlando was a development that solidified after the original poll was conducted, and which would be added as a bonus option. I had thought about narrowing the poll, but in order to get good deals, we need to start making some solid decisions very soon. I was trying to see where people would be willing to go. Based off of that and all the information that I wrote in the new post, we chose Dallas and Orlando. We wanted to be able to have a coheisive itinerary for bringing the whole group closer together - which meant not breaking into special interest groups for the majority of it. There's a balance, I know.. But this is the best that our little planning comittee was able to throw together in the spare time we carved out for it. Hope it works for a lot of people  We only want it if the Holy Spirit weaves it all together and is lifted up. He will provide  And there IS always next time...
