I think it might be rather "handy" if there were an extra 'statistic' available, indicating how many people have you "on ignore"...

As an example -- as far as I know, nobody is "ignoring" me - but, "you never know"... ;)

Knowing the particular number - whether 0, 1, 5, 15, or 150 - could be very useful.

Even more useful, of course, would be a list of the actual people who have you targeted you with the 'ignore' feature;however, just having a count would be very worthwhile (I think).

:)
I was not so much suggesting that this 'statistic' be public - I was more so thinking along the lines of it being private - somewhere in the user CP - perhaps where you set people on ignore. (i.e., the only person who could see how many people had me on ignore would be me)

It would serve as a kind of "heads up" warning indicator that would suggest to a member that they might want to re-evaluate themselves with regard to how they are "coming across" to other members, etc.

EDIT: ( more of a 'self-help' thing than something that could be 'targeted' by other members and used against them )

:)

I don't think this is a good idea and it comes across as little like bullying to me. Sometimes we need to forgive and just move on. What are we even doing calling ourselves Christian chat if we want to judge people on how many people are ignoring them?
Ever had creepers creep on you for sexual favors? Yeah, I have. No bueno.

I use ignore to keep myself out of trouble :D I don't feel the need to know how many ignore me, though if they want to than that's up to them

Because I cannot send you a PM... :p

"I very much appreciate your friend request. However, please read my profile so that you will understand why I am about to 'reject' your friend request. Remember - it is not you that I am rejecting..." :)

( P.S. - I am driving my truck to work... Thank you for the mention of concern. )

Hiya JesusChica

I don't think David was suggesting that your shouldn't have an ignore feature, or that you shouldn't use it, but that knowing how many and who had ignored you was an hindrance to forgiveness.

As for creepers they are better reported shortly after being ignored, as you have already noted this often results in a ban effectively ending abuse from that particular person(s).
