i think it would be nice to have a christian education forum...

topics would be things like sunday school...homeschooling...christian colleges...learning theory and educational philosophies...pros and cons of public and private schools...

i think a forum like that could be useful for all kinds of people...teachers and parents and students and church leaders and regular voting citizens...

Resurrecting this, because this idea should not be ignored. There has to be another biblical educational forum besides the one we have full of godly and heretical people. I would love to have schooling discussions on here about the bible. Not philosophy of man and all that. But it would be nice to have a forum just for that!

This is a good idea

A lot of us have tried to get weekly Bible studies set up but the group format isn't very good for that and if we did it in the BDF well.. in two minutes it would be the yell at each other for stupid reasons thread

I spent 12 years in steady "Christian" Education, and I can confidently say that it is probably impossible to often get much more than just limited and esoteric indoctrination in a particular denominational belief or philosophy.

It takes a lot of time and work to force yourself to read things you were deliberately raised (inculcated) NOT to believe in...... and then you still have to go through the arduous process of learning to "chew the meat" of those supposedly heretical presentations, keeping the strong proteins, while spitting out the bones. (A practice few of us ever learned to employ in Seminary or Bible College.)

No. Decidedly not safe. This is an open forum, as in search engines will find it. If that happens:
1. You're hard work can be taken by any plagiarists who stumbles on it.
2. There's a good chance those evaluating your paper will check to see if you plagiarized, and if they do that in a rush, they will NOT catch on that that IS your work.

I recommend you find, and pay for, someone who can critique what you have from a scholarly viewpoint. There are forums for that too.
