I want to suggest something and I hope it's a favourable idea. We have tons of people joining everyday, we have tons of people visiting as guests. There are a variety of reasons why they come on this site; prayer, fellowship, discussions (good/bad), and even curiosity.

I want to suggest that this site could have a page for the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We know of course that the gospel can speak to people in their own heart language. But so many people join, even some who are curious about Christ. I have seen the mission to commission fail at times for various reasons.

This is a site for believers, but it's also open for those who want to know exactly what the Word of God teaches. I compliment this site for being so busy with joining members, stable members, and even guests because not a lot of Christian chat sites can say the same. (Most seem so dead anyways).

I have thought that maybe the members who have been here for quite sometime, who are Christian, and know the gospel can be invited along with the administrators to build one whole page dedicated to explaining the gospel and our need for Jesus. So this site can be fair that the administration and this site's members helped share the gospel to the lost and confused. Not only that, but also as a statement of faith. I do not desire to put out a debating doctrine, but one that all Christians should agree on and aligned with the Word of God. The true standard.

This would be a blessing to the lost, professing christians, and to the site. If someone has mentioned this and it failed, thank you anyways for reading this. : )

If you can find a way to write that out that isn't going to set someones butt on fire in disagreement with something in it, i'd love to see that.

Something like this:

No. That isn't what they said. That's just a statement of faith. If you read they said they wanted a page about the gospel for non-believers. A list of Christianese terms bullet pointed to express a set of beliefs is not the same as a page dedicated to preaching salvation to non-Christians. Then he said it could possibly double as a statement of faith.
But in reality this can't work because people disagree on salvation even.

Also to OP. If site leaders and users both got together to make a page to preach the gospel, using vague enough concepts that all can agree with, how can that double as a statement of faith? A statement of faith is the details of your beliefs, which won't be shared by the users and the sites leaders. The two ideas are at odds with each other.

"Playing God"???.... If a person comes here that is truly convicted by the Spirit. They will stay and find what they need. We as members need to make sure we are here for them when the Spirit calls on us..

That is a great idea! It could be hard for a visitor to learn what he wanted or needed to know about christianity by wandering around the forums or asking questions in chat. Often their questions are mistaken for trolling. and then they leave never learning anything that benefits them. And a basic doctrine page including the way to salvation, who God is etc. could be written with no option for comments. thus no debates :)

I'm all for it. Sounds like what we should, as Christians, be doing. Spreading the gospel throughout the world.

I'm still not clear why there needs to be a special page/area.

The one and only true God, who is holy and righteous, made man in His image.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 6:3; Psalm 119:137; Genesis 1:26).

Man disobeyed God, and as a result, man became both mortal and separated from God.
(Genesis 2:17; Isaiah 59:2).

His sinful nature and death was passed down to all of his descendants.
(Romans 3:10-12, 5:12).

All men also have sinned against God and cut themselves off from Him and fallen short of His glory.
(Romans 3:10-12, 23; 1 John 1:10).

The final punishment for the sinner is eternal separation from God and condemnation of hell.
(2 Thess. 1:9-10; Revelation 20:15).

God, in His great love, sent His Son Jesus Christ, as a King and Savior, to save us and restore us back to God.
(Matthew 1:21, 2:2; 1 John 4:9-10; Romans 5:10; John 3:16-17).

He was born of a virgin. He was both divine and human. Who lived a perfect obedient life to God.
(Matthew 1:23; John 1:1, 14; 1 Peter 2:21-22; Hebrews 4:15).

He bore God's wrath and perfect justice against us while on the cross, though He did nothing to deserve it.
(Colossians 2:14; Romans 5:9; Romans 8:1).

After three days in the grave, He resurrected and conquered both death and evil.
(Luke 24:7; Genesis 3:15; Hebrews 2:14; Revelation 1:18).

Anyone who trusts in Him and what He has done has eternal life, and has been both justified and forgiven by God.
(John 3:16, 36, 6:47; Romans 3:28, 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9, 4:32; Galatians 2:16; 2 Corinthians 5:18).

It looks like a good start. I would recommend putting it in simpler, as common and un-churchy as possible, language (i.e. define sin, justified, maybe even holy). A lot of people who read this will not be native English speakers. There's nothing about angels or evil spirits in here; spirits are a big deal and concern to many non-western people.

One other idea would be to find something to link to or repost since there are some other gospel presentation websites out there. Maybe put this all under an FAQ section about what is Christianity. Ok that's all the related thoughts in my head for now.
