I don't know if this is an option in other operating systems but it is in Vista. Imagine Vista having a positive asset.

Here is what ya do.

1. Log in to chat.
2.Left click the lil speaker icon in the lower right of your task bar at the bottom of the screen.
3. A volume thing should come up where you can change the volume.
4.Click on the word 'mixer' on the volume control that pops up.
5.A bigger window will open with volume toggle controls to each windows program you have open.
6.Simply lower the volume on the option you have Chat open in. If you're using firefox, lower or mute volume on firefox. The same goes for if you're using IE or some crazy mac browser.

Some of us like to listen to music on our computers ;]
LOL, I've been thinking of that too, and my solution is to switch to other room and/or exit the chat room then comeback again after the music, but usually once I left, I stay on the Chat Forum, reading posts finding ideas, lol, b'cuz it seems plenty of fun stuff on the Chat Forum rather than on the Chat Room, but this is just me tho' hehe.

I like to listen to music AND chat with people. If I didn't... I just wouldn't bother going into the chat!
