I'll bet this has been requested before, to extend edit time to 10 minutes. I have no idea what the purpose of the limited edit time is -- so I don't know if extending to 10 minutest would be good or not; but it would be convenient for me.

Sometimes the system doesn't seem to respond when I am posting; that is, I can't get the size I want, can't get rid of italics or bold, can't get rid of highlight background color. But after I post, then I can go back & edit and change what I couldn't do at first. This is puzzling to me.

But I would like 10 minutes to work on the post after posted, if possible.

Thanks for providing the service.

This has been suggested. There are multiple threads on it that each explain the reasons for the short time.

Just write a text using a word processor, copy it and paste it here.
Then you'll have all the time you need.

On slow connections enviroment that idea seems to fit 3rd world needs... But they know technically and legally their reasons why they did it so.

I share your frustration, but as it has been brought up many times, I doubt it will be changed.

As for access to more features, click "Go Advanced", the button to the right on "post quick reply"
