I think different skins for CC is a great idea. i went to this one forum that let you change the theme for it on your screen. originally it looked just like cc but you could turn it brown or pink. i believe we should have several skin color to fit everyones personality like pink for some or like blue or something. it would be cool to be able to choose from at least four different ones.
The white on cc is kind of blinding and It hurts my eyes when im reading a long post combined with it.

I use internet explorer so I hope if its made users of firefox and internet explorer could use it

Or at the very least a dark background option. I too have eyes sensitive to brighter colors. I generally have my screen brightness pretty low on CC. And many sites for that matter.

I detest colored backgrounds with writing that is just my opinion Its difficult to read colored words to me on colored backgrounds. Black and white is so simple and if you want colored words do what the op did!

That's why i said 'option'. As in something people could choose from. And, obviously, if it were a darker background the letter colors would have to be altered to make it readable.

Are we talking chat or forums?

I seem to remember once using a toolbar in IE that enabled you to change colours of the webpage somehow , to make it more readable. Might just be my imagination though :p

a customizable chat interface is something i've thought would be nice before, a way to change the color/shade, as well as the background images used, perhaps an option to override text customizations and/or thicken enlarge text sizes for all users for those who are hard of seeing or reading. not a bad idea. though there are other things that need to be taken care of beforehand.
