Today I went to pick up a friend from the mall and go to a meeting. It took awhile to find her as I did not know that there were two Sears entrances in the mall. We laughed about it and thought nothing more. A few minutes later we were driving and saw a bad wreck where one SUV was on its side and a car had its side smashed in. The emergency repsonse team was not even there yet. Thank you God for Your protection.

I have just recently renewed my trust in and relationship with God and in the last two weeks have seen His Hand moving in my life so many times. Awesome!

I always say, everything happens for a reason. You are running late for work and you cannot find your keys or leaving for church and your 5 year old spills chocolate milk down the front of his shirt. Then you finally hit the road only to find a horrible accident, or an old lady from your church stranded with a flat tire. God's ways are miraculous when we live outside of our own reasoning!

Great testimony! :)

Did you stop to help them? Was anyone injured? - if so, why did god protect you and not them?

I really have to wonder if you are serious in these questions! But assuming you are, here is my humble explanation...

God does not divinely intervene in ever situation on this earth. There is a higher purpose beyond that which we can ever understand. There are multiple reasons why (you assume) God may not have "protected" them.

But an even bigger thought... how do you know that whoever was involved in that accident, the people you are assuming God did not protect, did not walk away saying, "I was in an accident, and should have been killed, but God protected me!"

You don't know the circumstances, you don't know the lives of the people involved, you don't know God's plan both now and down the road. You don't know how God intended to use that situation. In order to answer the questions you asked, you would have to know the thoughts and intentions of God!

But what we do know is that we can rejoice with our friend, if for no other reason than his faith grew just a little bit from this circumstance. :)

In that instance, no. But the we could see the abulance and firetruck arriving. My friend that was with me was in a car accident Saturday. Why did God protect her Tuesday but not Saturday? Why would God protect me from a car accident but allow my dad and brother to lose their job? We can ask many such questions, and I have. But that leads down a slippery slope. The end result of such reasoning is lack of faith and trust in God. It ends in blaming God for things where the blame does not belong to God. I have had to come to a place in my life where I trust God to take care of me through the good and bad (my perception of bad not His). If I had been in that wreck, then instead of thanking God for His protection, I would thank Him for allowing me to go through this for I know it will work for good if I love God. (Romans 8:28) I know how hard it is to come to grips with this! I pray you will find the answers you seek. God bless.

Why did God bring me back from the dead just to torture me for 8 more years? Because I saved a lot of lives. Just because we can't see the explanation for everything now, doesn't mean it isn't there. Just be patient.

We had a simular situation many years ago.
A car cut us of on the freeway, and then stayed in front of us going slower than usual. My husband was anoyed but I decided to bless and thank Jesus as Iwanted to have our family to see that all things are his blessing. About 2 miles down the freeway we witnessed the car we would have been behind and several others surrounding it get into a massive accident. If we had not been cut off we with our five children would have been in the middle of that terrible accident. I am so greatfull for that slow driver, and that Jesus showed us as well his great care. Thankyou for your testamony, it is always good to be reminded of, and see his great love.
God bless, pickles
