Still dealing with anxiety related issues. Depression keeps getting me. Now its getting harder to not get bitter toward God. Pray that i come to find sound doctrine. Im getting mixed up by some new teachings and its getting hard to know where i stand.
i have a rebelious nature and even though i quit chewing tobacco a year ago. I just felt like i needes to act out and i went back to chewing tobacco today. Made me real sick and flared up my anxiety and now im feeling guilty which doesnt help. Why doesn't Gos just give us the answers we need!

He has. Maybe you just don't seem to care for His answers.

I have many questions that are unanswered just like many others do. You can't say he has, when you don't know the questions.

What are these new teachings because how do they relate to the word of God? What are the questions you seek because many of us have probably asked the same questions. God speaks to us in many ways. 8 Ways God Speaks to Us Today -Spiritual Living, Christian Faith
From reading this article you can see how important it is to constantly seek a relationship with God. By learning who God truly is and what God truly wants out of your life you will no longer see a need to feel bitter toward God. We as humans sometimes forget very important things about God and sometimes see him as an 8 ball and we always expect him to answer in a very clear way. We forget its the breath of God that fills our lungs. We forget God gave up his one and only son as a sacrifice for your sins and mine. We forget how patient God is with us as sinners. We forget God created the heavens and earth. We forget that over 200 billion galaxies was
created by this same personal God we speak to. We forget that God holds us dear to him as children[h=1]
John 1:12Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
[/h]12 But to all who did receive Him,
He gave them the right to be children of God,
to those who believe in His name,

We forget God is all knowing

[h=1]Psalm 139Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)[/h][h=3]The All-Knowing, Ever-Present God[/h]1 Lord, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know when I sit down and when I stand up;
You understand my thoughts from far away.
3 You observe my travels and my rest;
You are aware of all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue,
You know all about it, Lord.
5 You have encircled me;
You have placed Your hand on me.
6 This extraordinary knowledge is beyond me.
It is lofty; I am unable to reach it.

7 Where can I go to escape Your Spirit?
Where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I go up to heaven, You are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there.
9 If I live at the eastern horizon
or settle at the western limits,
10 even there Your hand will lead me;
Your right hand will hold on to me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me,
and the light around me will be night”—
12 even the darkness is not dark to You.
The night shines like the day;
darkness and light are alike to You.

13 For it was You who created my inward parts;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You
because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful,
and I know this very well.
15 My bones were not hidden from You
when I was made in secret,
when I was formed in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw me when I was formless;
all my days were written in Your book and planned
before a single one of them began.

17 God, how difficult Your thoughts are
for me to comprehend;
how vast their sum is!
18 If I counted them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand;
when I wake up, I am still with You.

Our God knows the troubles
within you and sometimes we must search ourselves to examine why are we dealing with these struggles in life. Sometimes God is trying to move us in a different direction, or God is trying to tell us to stop doing something harmful to ourselves, and maybe God sometimes remains silent to test the faith of his believers so that our faith will grow

[h=1]James 1:2-8Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)[/h][h=3]Trials and Maturity[/h]2 Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

5 Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 An indecisive man is unstable in all his ways.

So remember have faith and the world around you will be rocked to its knees!

[h=1]Mark 11:22-24Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)[/h]22 Jesus replied to them, “Have faith in God. 23 I assure you: If anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for—believe that you have received them, and you will have them.

First of all, give up the new teachings. EVERYTHING you need to know, is in the bible. The teachings in the bible are the ONLY teachings you need to learn. :) Secondly, please read my depression thread and check out my CC faith book. So you rebelled and started chewing tobacco again? No wonder you got sick, putting those toxins back into your body. Like Willie said, God HAS given you the answers you need. Either you don't like them, or don't understand them.. If your question is "why me?", then God's answer is "why NOT you". You aren't exempt from suffering any more than the rest of us are..

heydrewbert,

These are your weapons. Use them wisely...1. Copy, paste, and print them. Perhaps decorate them to look nice on your wall. 2. Post them on your wall. 3. Speak them OUTLOUD as often as you see them. 4. Memorize them. 5. Repeat them as often as you can outloud. Don't take the devil lying down.

REmember, it is not YOUR depression, it came from Satan and it is "the" depression. Don't own it. The same for anxiety. Don't own it. It is not YOURS. Any other complication.

God does not put sickness and disease on us and does not want us to claim them or speak of them as our own. He wants you whole and healthy. Will Satan attack? You bet! That's why you have to be proactive. Be diligent and read the Word daily. Starting with three verses is ok. Rome wasn't built in a day. You can do this.

Dearest Father,

Lead Drewbert into peace and healing for his spirit and soul. Help him find comfort in your word and show him how deeply you do love him. Remind him you gave your life that he might live...and live abundantly. In strength and in weakness, you are his God and you do love him. Satan sifts us as wheat. We can live victoriously in the battle...forever praising your Holy name. In Jesus blessed name we pray. Amen

heydrewbert,The sound doctrine you seek is before your own eyes.The question is not in finding it,but rather as the Word himself speaks in the bible to study to show yourself approved a workman unto the Lord!( 2 Tim 2:15) This is not a rebuke brother!!

I know for many years I myself looked to seek the Lord through others who were suppose to know the Word themselves! What they knew is what they looked to know for themselves creating a most self righteous doctrine to which,if any would question were considered an enemy of the devil himself. POINT!!!

The only real teacher is the one who wrote the teaching!( 1 John 2:27) and what we look for others from, is only to confirm what our Lord said.he said what he meant, and meant what he said.With this mindset no confusion can enter our mindset. When others look to twist his word to mean what they wish it to,anyone can become depressed!

Another words brother it is our turn to become accountable,and not look as I did for so many years for excuses not to follow! If we are confused you know one thing for certain!!!( 1 Cor 14:33!!!)

The accountable believers stays accountable to the Word,not what man or woman wants to make from the Word! I know Holy Spirit teaches! I know Holy Spirit confirms,and I know it takes our own time to find this out!( psalm 25:5) The question is how long we are willing to both wait and remain in school!( Isaiah 40:28-31!!) I have been in the classroom for over 30 years brother,I am not late,and I do not skip either!! LOL

And this is why the Lord grants me his wisdom daily!( 1 Cor 1:30-31!) His promise is for all who believe,and to stay established in this belief we must stay accountable to him! Anger is fine,as long as anger motivates us to do something about the problem we are having! Drawing near to the Lord is the proper mindset,I had to kick my flesh more then once upon this doctrine brother!( 1 Cor 9:23-27!!) verse 27!

Have both purpose now in word and in deed! Next study hard after Eph 3:17-21!! and last but sure not least! Know that before anyone else can ever have value to you in there own life,you must understand the value you have for others! So that you always have something to give,not just receive!( Acts 20:35!!) this is not the time to feel sorry for oneself,it is time to get up, get mad, and do something about it! Anger is not a sin,when anger is set upon moving forward as Paul did in Christ Jesus!!( Phil 3:12-14!!) Blessing bro!
