I was on my way to an appointment on Monday and as I was driving I had some strange but not unusual thoughts concerning happiness and satisfaction. I thought "why don't I just move away from here (family, church, friends etc) and go to NC or the west coast and live there for a while? I bet i'll be happier over there since it's a change of scenery..." and so I have these recurring thoughts every now and then, esp when I'm feeling down. So as I continued to drive, the holy spirit revealed to me this scripture:

Jeremiah 29:11(NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I've read this scripture before, and have seen it many times and have thought about it many times. But that day was different. The message was more personal when God himself revealed it to me in my heart and mind spiritually. He emphasized "not to harm you" and "give you hope". It really made an impact, so thank you Lord my God. <3

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

I just did that, not NC but I left my home state of 35 yrs to move to a different place.

Is it better?... Meh...it's definitely nice and being away from heroin and meth addicts is certainly a plus,I dunno I'm probably just homesick, that will happen after 35 yrs in the same place.

God really does have plans in the works, whatever your decision I hope that you are happy.

Oh, I forgot to mention the point of my post.

I realized that I don't have to plan an escape to what I think will make me "happier" (whatever that means). Because God's already got a plan in place. I don't have to worry, something Good is already happening. I need to keep my gaze on Christ's face and look for his direction in all things.

That's great that your belief in something like"keeping your gaze on God's face" will do it for you,I wish that I was the same way.

God bless

Change is good, after all, no change is pretty much more of the same.

JESUS CHRIST our LORD will do it for you. HIS WORD never fails.
HE wants the Best for you, nothing but the Best.
Be blessed in JESUS' NAME.
Thanks be to GOD for loving and caring for us so much more than we can ever think of.
