I was born and raised in Nh and i still reside here with my family i am extremely blessed to say i was raised in a Christian home i accepted Christ as my Lord and savior at a young age and was baptized in water and the Holy Spirit at age 13 it hasn't been till these more recent years i have grown closer to the Lord i have always struggled with self worth up until a few months ago everything was finally feeling normal and then my best friend who is also my sister got engaged and she became more and more distant from me and so did the rest of my family because of that i ended up getting into a bad relation ship with a man thankfully it ended but it got worse after that because i got addicted to porn and i am still in a struggle with that hoping and praying God can forgive me and help me even when i fail and fall again.....

Glad to hear that God chose you and has justified you (Eph 1:4-7)! Christ can most certainly forgive you (1 John 1:9). The question is Sister, in sincerity, will you accept his forgiveness?

Hi Janaye, I'm fairly new to this site, I was just browsing through the testimonies and came across yours. I can relate to your story so much. It's incredible how strong an addiction is but its comforting to know that God is much more powerful.
Keep praying and keep God at the centre. He will guide you through.

I dont know how you can accept Jesus as Lord and then be addicted to porn, however i belueve you must be circumcised in the heart to be in the kingdom of God. May God bless.

Circumcised in the heart? You're wrong on that, ALL you need to be in God's kingdom is to be saved by grace through faith. :) Even Christians still sin after being saved, it's called temptation. Happens every day.. Oh and "circumcise" is what happens when a man gets the foreskin of his penis cut off.. lol

Nice testimony :) but for future reference, to make it easier for people to read, use commas, periods and capital letters. Run on sentences are hard to read..

after 'conversion', the process of 'over-coming' begins, and never ends,
as Paul has shared with all of us so well...

Circumcision is for the body but i think also for the spirit as we adhere to Gods commandments. I think maybe im more of a nunnery view of things... haha. We cant let satan even a foothold in our lives. To become holy is a very arduous road and we must strive to be saintly in all we do right? To attain truth we must sacrifice every carnal inclination so that we save.

Hi Millymean, I hope you are enjoying the site so far.

Paul did mention a circumcision of the heart in Romans 2 which is pretty neat. It reminds us that our new life takes no pride in the flesh.

I'd like to share one of my favorite verses with you:

James 4:12
There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?

God bless :)

Don't laugh too hard! ;-) That unneeded foreskin snipped off Mr Happy on a man is/was symbollic of what needs to be removed from all hearts, even female hearts!

Deuteronomy 10:16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

Romans 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Is circumcision a Jewish thing?
I mean, I was circumcised when I was a baby.
Does that mean I am Jewish?

It was originally intended to set apart the Jews from others.
Now it doesn't really do that since everyone decided to do it

You might be surprised to learn that approximately half of Jews are not circumcised.
I mean, I was circumcised when I was a baby.
Most of us guys are. Its healthy for us, and even our wives. Who'd have guessed if God hadn't originally commanded it!?
Does that mean I am Jewish?
Not unless you also get one of those funny caps!

Seriously, though, as it states in Romans, for being a true Jew, what counts is circumcision of the heart.

And in case you don't believe me about the first point, approximately half of Jews are female. :p

Ok, since it was my mother who had me circumcised when I was a baby & my mother was a Catholic/Christian I am Catholic/Christian and have no Jewish blood in me.
