I have an evening meeting with God's representative (human or angel) to discuss my life and spiritual, biblical things. This search should take at least 3 days.

In August, I was on my knees in the morning asking Jesus to send someone to me to show me the ways of God so I won't continue to be under the curse of living for myself anymore. Jesus is the High Priest, so he is the one to get his believers ready and right to connect with God directly. He is the circumcisor of the heart, not of the flesh. I lived a normal life except I offended God less so He can answer me. All this is by faith in Jesus/Yeshua the Messiah according to the Holy Bible. In the evening, I bent my knees in prayer asking Jesus the same thing. I also had asked him to help me control myself and to not let his messenger scare me outside at night, because I don't want to be fearful and fear does not come from God.

My prayer was answered one night when I was reading the Holy Bible out loud while sitting on the edge of the patio within the backyard lights. White light from a source in front of me caused me to look up. I saw a shadow moving around in the yard of a duplex property to my left with what appeared to be a flashlight in the hand. This being shone the light of the "flashlight" on me while I was reading and was moving around back there as if something got lost and was searching for it. This incident took me back. I then stood up afraid as I watched this being move around behind a row of trees. Then "it" was gone. I prepared myself in advance what I needed for this meeting. I had a large plastic grocery bag. It had a wash towel, many tissues, a hand held tape recorder with some tapes, another but smaller bag as a disposal, papers with information on them, etc.

Later I dreaded the fact that I missed my divine meeting. I tried my devotional activities again in the hope Jesus will send his messenger back to me, but to no avail.

Which brings me to last night. I saw someone approaching in the very distance by another row of trees aligned with another street. I stood up and walked a short distance to get a better look. The figure had begun to walk the opposite way - not what I wanted to happen. Upon closer inspection, I realized that this person was walking away with a small dog. Eventually walked across the street far from where I was watching.

Feeling sad and disappointed, I turned around to walk back to my original location. I had walked past and parallel to the row of trees and the spacious back yard where that dark figure was. When I was walking back on the same route, I glanced to my right, and lo and behold there was a picnic table right up to the back of the wooden fence that surrounds my neighbors' swimming pool. I went to it and sat down. Depressed and in despair, I peppered God with questions. I had sought God since my early 20s resulting in failure upon failure in my search for the truth and for the reality that is not seen. I softly smack the picnic table with my hand to make sure it was real.

I had an idea. I got up and walked back into my yard to see the last distant house. Now for the past several weeks this house had been emitting mysterious white and red flashes of light. I still can't explain it. I had thought this house was probably haunted or something. There were only these flashes and flickers of these colored lights from this house. I saw no apparitions with it, and this was the only house visible from my yard that there was something obviously going on over there. I positioned myself relative to this house. Then I walked into the back yard of my Asian neighbors' house and looked north to see that weird house. I then walked straight back to the picnic table where my bag was. It turned out that this house with its bright/dim yellow lights inside was visible from the picnic table.

It dawned on me that since God shows His signs and wonders to men of biblical faith and since He had promised to guide us, that He might have been flashing these unexplainable lights at me for my own sake to get me to go to the meeting spot, His secret place of refuge, and seek Him there. I guess we can say that house and its flashing lights in the darkness was my "burning bush" sent from God to get my attention. Once we give Him our attention, He will guide us. If we listen to Him, He can then have us do great things in His everlasting Name.

I never noticed there was a picnic table wonderfully arranged for this divine purpose until last night. While the night bugs and mosquitoes were flying around and even landing on my skin, I prayed to Jesus to apologize and to ask for His messenger to come to me in my new location. As I was waiting, I read the Word of God, guiding my eyes with my own flashlight. I kept looking up to stay watchful for my heaven-sent visitor, but he never showed up. I eventually went inside my house for the night to try it again sometime.

The Holy Bible reveals again and again that Jehovah God wants to literally meet us. It began with Abraham all the way down to the "Gentile" believers of Paul's time. The examples I especially remember are Moses and the Israelites, and Jesus speaking with Nicodemus the Pharisee who wanted to inquire him secretly. There are so many examples.

It is not just meeting God in a secret place alone. It's also about putting your life on God's altar as a living sacrifice. Jesus taught that if we desired him in our lives, we are to forsake everything, including ourselves. This teaching along with meeting a divine visitor in a lonely place, connects the dots. While I was praying on the picnic table, I told God that I wanted to have a life of my own, that to not let my parents get in my way, and that I didn't care what happens to me. All I desired was Him. I still do. Once Jesus makes me brand new, I'll have everything I need. There will be no more searching. Jehovah God is my provider.

Psalm 42:2 - My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

Romans 12:1-2 - Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This is your reasonable act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is. His good, pleasing and perfect will.

Exodus 3:1-6 - Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, "I will go over and see this strange sight--why the bush does not burn up." When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, "Moses! Moses!" Moses said, "Here I am." "Do not come any closer," God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." Then he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob."

Luke 14:25-27 - Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said, "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be my disciple. Anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

John 3:1-2 - Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God wasn't with him."

Do NOT do what I did here. I didn't have enough faith.

Just live correctly based on how much faith you have, and Christ will reveal himself personally to you. Set up your priorities based on the love commandments and figure out how to live by them day-by-day and you will inherit eternal life. God bless you.

Precious friend, appreciate your input. Scripturally, to receive Eternal Life is
Given, By God, to those who believe The Gospel Of Grace - see "faith" section of:

God's Simple Will!

Then, Because we Already have Eternal Life, we submit [ day-by-day ] to
His LORDship, out of 'love' { see that 'section' in link above }.

Finally, there is the 'hope section' [ in the link ] when all members will be
"glorified" and taken home to God's Great GloryLand!

Amen.

What happens if we obey Luke 18:9-14? https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=2387011921472315&set=a.348033338703527

What happens if we obey Luke 18:9-14?
The "lost sheep" of Israel, under the law, who obeyed Luke 18:9-14, were
"justified" in the gospel of the kingdom

Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15) From “Things That Differ!” (online):

Today, Under Grace, the repentant, who believe The Gospel Of Grace,
are "justified" by
believing, with 100% trust, placing Total faith, In
The LORD JESUS CHRIST, HIS Death (
Precious BLOOD ) , Burial, And
HIS Resurrection, According To The Scriptures!

(1 Corinthians 15:3-4; cp Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3-5)

Relationship Established By God Is first, then we can learn about:

fellowship, and our loving behavior, for gain, or loss of, "rewards"...
( Romans - Philemon = our Grace / Love Letters From God! )

Amen.

That doesn't explain to me what happens to a sinner when he/she prays according to Luke 18. Will it be like blind Saul in Damascus? Please answer according to Scripture and your personal experience.

Precious friend, my personal experience doesn't count for much, but:

God And His Precious Word are What Matters - 'what happened' explained:

"And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much
as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying,
God be Merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down
to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that
exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself
shall be exalted." Luke 18:13-14
Q: What does "justified" mean? Is it "Obtaining Mercy"?

Is this 'like blind Paul'? A: Yes, As Scripture Says:

"Howbeit for this cause I Obtained Mercy, that in me first
Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern
to them which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting."
(1 Timothy 1:16)
I suppose that I could say "I Obtained Mercy Also," in my personal experience, According To The Precious Scriptures.

Amen.

Precious friend, hope this helps - any more thoughts/questions?

Thanks for clearing up the fog for me. There isn't much difference between "justified" and "mercy," isn't there? I will try this and see what happens.
