I work, not for a wage, though I do receive them. I work primarily for Christ...there are two sides to this. Either we minister to someone or they minister to us. I have recently had a job with two lovely Christian women who understand love and forgiveness and acceptance. It was so very refreshing to find a team there. Of course, Satan wrecked havoc and the "ship" rocked back and forth with financial difficulties and a new owner..not a Christian and not extremely nice. We fought hard still to save our ship, but eventually, I was led to leave. I have another job to go to and it was my hope to show the new owner how important it is to treat people with dignity.

After a harried two days of phone calls, etc...the new owner called and profusely apologized. I forgave her, but could not go back due to my new commitment. I don't feel I'm meant to in any case. I'll miss working with the ladies but wow...how important a victory it was! Seeds were planted with the woman that won't easily be erased.

I didn't leave easily...there were several tear jerking days. We leaned on each other...reminding ourselves....the Christian walk is more than just a paycheck. This happened often and it worked out, until I was shown by the Holy Spirit it was time.

I pray for the new owner, the success of the company, the other ladies and praise for the Lord who makes it shine! Please remember me in prayer as well. I know I'll have a pang of guilt for not going back, but in my heart of hearts I know it was God's design. Blessings! -student
