I am working on a special notebook, scrapbook, collection of ideas and experiences. And I needed different resources to be able to create on the fly, rather than when convenient. Therefore, it was a great surprise that I found an old retail card with more than enough to get the supplies wanted.
At first, I was going to go for a nice pack of pens. However, before leaving the store, I realized, "this is nice, but what else could I get for the price?" Well, I ended up leaving with 5 times as many pens (via a special discount), 6 gluesticks, colored pencils, and (unrelated) a cup of water
The pens were to invest in writing notes to others, and to cartoon.
But the glue and colored pencils add to my notebook project.
At the end of the quick trip, I had 5 cents left on the card.
And what did that little purchase yield?
Already, I've spent several hours taking notes in church, at lunch, or in my set-aside project.
Prayer:
Lord, I thank you for how you provided the card already.
And how I had the amount needed for that particular sale.
It may seem like a small price for little.
But it was a wise investment into something much Greater.
In each life, no matter how outlandish Your investment may seem to be, remind us: "It is Worth it."
