First of all,my name is Aaliyah. I just wanted to share my story. Because, I want the world to know that God makes ALL things work together for our good. :)

My life got off on a rough start. My mom got pregnant when she was 17 and, still in high school. My dad had just got out but, he was into the parties and, drinking. I'm sure this wasn't in his plans at all, any time soon.
My parents decided to do "what you had to do" , Get married.
My mom was 7 months when she got married and, completely unprepared. So, my dad took on Two Full Time Jobs and, went to school full time. While mom stayed home with me. Even though most of the time she didn't . She "wasn't ready to be a mom" and, she was bypolar and, refused to take medication for it.

Long story short they split up officially when I was two years of age. My dad still stuck working 2 jobs and, going to nursing school moved in with his mother and, my mom married my dads "best friend" and, moved me to the town over. Therefore I never got to see my dad.

While I lived with my mom&her new husband. Away from all my family. I was mentally&physically abused. And, felt completely alone.

We moved back to my home town my 3rd grade year.

From the time I moved back to the time I was 13, I was in and, out of family court. While my parents fight for custody.
When I was in the seventh grade I became over paranoid about my looks& my family. I stopped talking to a lot of people&wouldn't let people stay the night with me. I never talked to my parents and, quickly depression came in. And, I started cutting myself.

My only escape was dance&music. But, I started to hate my body and, became anorexic. I completely stopped eating. And, one day my seventh grade year I ran 3 miles in p.e then went to pointe/dance class and, blacked out from not eating. I shattered my ankle and, stretched the tendons in both of my knees.

I had to have two operations to walk normally again. And, a year to recover. A couple of weeks after my surgery's I got my first boyfriend. He invited me to church. So, I said yes&got delivered from anorexia, cutting, and, depression. Soon after that I realized His purpose for my life&joined the drama team& became the youth worship team lead singer. Even though that relationship didn't work out "we are still good friends" I don't know where I'd be if He wouldn't have invited me to church.

Now I attend "The Dwelling Place" and, I am burning for God. I am so thankful that no matter what you come from He loves us the same! I am so ready to change my generation!

Praise the Lord! We are lucky in a way to have lifes with mental illnesses and abuse ect, I believe this helped lead us to a closer relationship with Jesus than those who have an 'easy' life. I used to belong to an online forum chat for mental illnesses and met a lot of lost people there. I was thinking about going back to wittness. Thats an idea for you! Stay strong in the Lord! I will be praying for you! If you need anything let me know
