Post The Whole Armour of God

Dear Christian brothers and sisters

I feel called to post the following from a leaflet that a good friend from Church gave to me.
It's the best gift I have received, worth more than any bottle of Chanel or the loveliest pair of shoes
And I noticed a real change once I applied this everyday.. ok sometimes I forget hehe but I'm soon reminded how important it is so I hope this Blesses All of you guys. Stay Blessed and Stay Strong in His strength
NB: Please see the end of note for full scripture's if you don't have your Bible with you.

The Whole Armour of God

The Christian life is a battle against the forces of evil. Our Lord Jesus Christ commands us to fight the battle under His leadership. The warfare is unremitting, real and dangerous, if we try to fight in our own strength.

It can only be fought in the strength of God through Faith in Jesus Christ. We cannot stand before the onslaughts of evil on our own.

Satan, the devil, is a real spiritual being and has large forces at his disposal. So we need Spiritual Armour to protect us when attacked and Spiritual Weapons with which to fight.

Read Ephesians 6:10-20 to confirm that we fight not against 'flesh and blood; but against spiritual enemies. And note that God Alone provides the protection and the weapons we need for this war.

Armour Must be put on before battle!

Therefore.. Put on the 'Whole Armour of God' FIRST THING EACH MORNING ON WAKING.

If you follow this simple but vital procedure over the next pages, you will soon become concious of how your imaginative prayer quickens faith and bring real answers in times of temptation and need. Many Christians testify to the 'Armour of God.'

So.. On Waking, first Thank your Heavenly Father for the new day and the opportunities He will give you to serve Him.

Then put on..

THE HELMET OF SALVATION on your head. Realise afresh that Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross. Salvation is a personal experience through your personal acceptance of what Christ did for you. Your intellect must be willingly submittted to Christ so that the Spirit can guide and inspire your thoughts according to His will.

THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.. God's righteousness, not yours! He accounts your relationship with Him as 'PUT RIGHT' through your Faith in His Son. YOU ARE forgiven when you repent (1 John 1:9) and you have His gift of Eternal life. However much satan may try to crush faith by loading you with guilt - God has accepted and accounted you righteous and your sins are forgiven! (Isaiah 1:18) and (Micah 7:18-19)

THE GIRDLE OF TRUTH.. satan is 'the father of lies;, and will endeavour to pervert the Word of God which promises that, 'there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit'; (Romans 8:1-4). The truth is supremely Jesus Christ! He said, 'I am the truth', and He gives you the Holy Spirit who leads you into all truth.

THE EQUIPMENT OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE.. Let the Lord Jesus buckle on your feet the equipment of the Gospel of Peace. This enables Him to lead you where He wants into today's battle area. It protects you as you are led past the obstacles and pitfalls that satan has created, and enables you to 'be Christ' to those your Lord sends you to help.

THE SHIELD OF FAITH.. By Faith, take God's promises as true! Take the shield of Faith in your left hand to protect you overall from the 'firey darts of the devil', who will relentlessly attack and tempt you with fears, worries and depressions. Your firm Faith in God (and not your own abilities), will enable Him to protect you from those darts.

THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT which is the WORD OF GOD. Take this sword (your Bible in your right hand). It is more powerful in spiritual warfare than any weapon of satan or man. It is to be wielded in the name of Jesus Christ, cutting you free from all wrong bondages to people and things, releasing you from the past, freeing you for service. This sword must be kept sharp by constant regular study of the Scriptures. Gos'd truth in the Bible must become your study of the Word of God.

You have put on the Whole Armour of God.
Now complete your preparations:
  • Claim a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit with all His fruit and gifts.
  • Put on over your Armour the GARMENT OF PRAISE instead of a faint spirit (Isaiah 61:3)
  • Kneel in Spirit at the foot of the Cross, asking that you and your loved ones may be covered with the 'Blood of the Lamb'
You are now ready for the Lord's work!

Scriptures:

  • Ephesians 6:10-20 (NKJV)
  • The Whole Armor of God
  • 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
  • 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

  • 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)
  • 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  • Isaiah 1:18 (NKJV)
  • 18 “ Come now, and let us reason together,”
  • Says the LORD,
  • “ Though your sins are like scarlet,
  • They shall be as white as snow;
  • Though they are red like crimson,
  • They shall be as wool.

  • Micah 7:18-19 (NKJV)
  • 18 Who is a God like You,
  • Pardoning iniquity
  • And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage?
  • He does not retain His anger forever,
  • Because He delights in mercy.
  • 19 He will again have compassion on us,
  • And will subdue our iniquities.
  • You will cast all our sins
  • Into the depths of the sea.

  • Romans 8:1-4 (NKJV)
  • Romans 8
  • Free from Indwelling Sin
  • 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

  • Isaiah 61:3 (NKJV)

  • To give them beauty for ashes,
  • The oil of joy for mourning,
  • The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

Thanks for reading, comments are welcome as is any constructive criticism Lots of Love In Christ <3

1 Corinthians--3:11-21---For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12- now if any man build upon THIS foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble: 13-Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because is shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14-If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall recieve a reward. 15-If any man's work shall be burnt, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Jesus Bless you

I just cannot believe I spelled GOD wrong so this is just a correction as I can't edit. I was very tired at the time of writing as I had been writing alot and typed this out by hand (not copying and pasting)

I would like to share a testimony to the Full Armour of God:
I have had health issues for years; have a serious lifelong disease to manage. And the medical team I have seen over the years haven't been too helpful as they put my symptoms down to my mental health. Soo after a few years of fighting that.. and standing firm in my sense it was something else.. So I have felt categorised, labelled as crazy, a hypochondraic - but I wasn't. I had to exercise great patience over the years to be listened to because my cognition had difficulty functioning, my concentration was awful (due to ataxia) and I experienced a lot of prejudice, coldness, insensitivity, impatience and bullying sometimes. It was not very nice. Anyways.. to cut a long story short - when I started putting the Full Armour of God on every day, especially before medical appointments - the first time I did this, I went to see my Consultant and he wasn't very happy to see me; cold, impatient and there was a harshness in his eyes when I looked into them. I waited on the LORD Jesus, asking Him for patience and peace. Jesus kept me calm, and coherent. And all of a sudden as the doctor was quiet looking for something on the computer, he looked at me looking out the window behind him, I was looking at the clouds, thinking about Jesus coming back and the Consultant (all due respect to him) he looked at me, tipped his head and inside me a whisper said Bless You - to the Consultant. Now this whisper was not me, from me yet was inside me, came from within me.. I knew it was the Holy Spirit - I recognised the gentle power. And after that, the Consultant changed, his eyes softened, his demeanour was less rigid, more warm and he told me he wanted to help me. I smiled and thanked him for his expertise and support. It was such a breath of fresh air to be treat not just humanely but more so..
This happened again when I went to see another member of the medical team just last week, she actually greeted me and looked happy to see me !!! So I really recommend putting on the Whole Armour of God.
Thanks so much for reading, sorry if it's a bit long. The Lord Jesus Christ Bless you, and hope you have a good day today. Amen <3
