"Fix your eyes upon Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith." (Hebrews 12:2) Don't give way to the Devil. Resist him and he will flee from you. May God strengthen you and give you all the light you need! In Jesus' mighty Name! Amen. Blessings!

Take Communion in your home often. Maybe every 5 days , once a week or every 3 weeks. The bible also says pray always.

John 6:53-57
53 Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed,[a] and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
John 6:63
63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

Without the holy spirit to fill the voids in our life. The keeper of our salvation we are but dead. Logs hollow.
I casted out a demon before with God's help I was fasting about 5 days. I took olive oil i bought from the store and anointed it. Anointed the whole house , myself included. I cast out the unclean
spirit in the name of jesus with shouts, claps, and a few stomps. It left scratching my dryer, and fumbling through the woods with monkey/bird sound screeches comin from it. But then I doubted in my mind and i said what if it's in the basement out of fear. The demon without me realizing was feeding on that thought. That what if it's in the basement and hit my feet from the main floor i was on. immediately I stomped back and I said in the name of Jesus go and it left running. The bible says perfect love casts out all fear. Jesus says if you don't doubt and have complete faith basically it will be done. We have to be perfected in his love and in that assurance. or like Peter he failed to walk on the water securely because of his lack of trust in Jesus through fear.
I don't know if this helps but I just desired to share.
I had a similair experience when I was going through a tough time and I believe my anxiety medications didn't do me any justice. When
i experienced on a couple occassions sleep paralysis but not consistently. One I had on Friday the 13th... I realize casting down cultic holy days is important and spiritual battle is too.
I also fought a spirit that was breaking up my home it took me 3 months to get rid of it.
Alot of showing it that in jesus i have nothing to fear and I wasn't afraid of it.
The spirit was in the form of a man and it kept coming in and out of my house and up and down my stairs. I didn't care what my neighbors thought when battling this thing. I ran up and down the stairs sometime running through it shouting in Jesus name leave, clapping my hands and proclaiming it to leave. After 3 months victory was won. I sang christain songs loud especially when I felt it's presence.
When i was little I always felt someone or something breathing down my neck tryin to feed me fear constitantly. But I chose not to acknowledge it or give in. And eventually it went away by God's grace.
Because fear is a foothold to the devil.
I just felt the need to share this because we are to have victory over the power of our enemy. And I pray your journey towards it will be completed.. in Jesus name Amen.

I know ometimes in sleep paralysi you can't move or say in jesus name the spirit's prohibit you but not for long. God is good because in the name of Jesus they leave. Also our amour of God needs to be solid. Any cracks in the armor can lead to this. We have to be assured of our salvation in Jesus, sound in believing and casting that mustard seed of faith. And the word of God God's word jesus Christ defeats our enemy.

Thanks for posting Pastel. At the time I was having it so severely I was bound and gagged by my sins. I haven't had it again so far since I gave up most everything that was interfering with my relationship with God. Since I've started praying, reading my bible, and seeking Him first it hasn't happened.

There have been 2 occasions since this last time where I started to slip into sleep paralysis as I was falling asleep, which is unusual. It's usually when I have been woken up by it, not as I was falling asleep. The first time I was pulled out of it by a loud voice that shouted at me to wake up. The next time was just a few days ago actually and I struggled with is for a minute as I was falling asleep, and pulled myself out of it a few times before finally falling asleep.

Your story was interesting. I haven't tried exorcising my house or anything.. It never occurred to me really. I have always thought that stuff wouldn't work to be completely honest with you. I live with my grandparents for now, and my grandmother doesn't know about my SP. I told my mom about it and she told me not to tell my grandmother.

What's crazy about all this, is my grandmother has told me she's been woke up in the middle of the night by someone whispering her name in her ear, which is coincidentally one of the same ways I have been woke up in SP. This is unusual for her to mention something like this, as she has never talked about dreams or anything spiritual or supernatural happening. At least not to me.

But all the overwhelming feelings of paranoia and fear that I would get the nights before sleep paralysis have gone away and I have no trouble getting to sleep now. My sister knows about my SP also, but never knew about my grandmother being woke up by whispering in her ear. She told me a few weeks ago she had a weird dream about me so I asked her what it was about. In the dream she had come to my house and was trying to wake me and I wouldn't wake up but kept convulsing. She got scared and went to my grandmothers room and tried to wake her, just to see her shaking the same way I was.

I dunno. Really I dunno what to do, other than pray and hope it doesn't happen anymore. So far so good, although I still get an occasional extremely vivid dream. Thanks for sharing your experience with me.

wow-- pretty frightening and shocking stories here; Your story caught my eye because I used to have sleep paralysis, and like it's been described, saying the name of Jesus even once, would make it stop immediately. Sometimes I would struggle to say the name of Jesus being caught between sleep and being awake and paralyzed. Your story brought back some frightening memories. What I found helpful back when this was happening was falling asleep saying a repetitive prayer or verse from the Bible, especially a prayer that uses Jesus name. Then when the sleep paralysis attacks would happen, the prayer or verse would come to mind. When I used to say the Rosary, the Rosary would come to mind-- all this was while I was still half-asleep. then the attacks would end and I would wake up. This information is also for others who might read this.

If you don't want to say the Catholic Rosary, look up in the Bible the verses that it is based on and say those. The reason this is so powerful is not just because of Mary, but the power of the message-- the announcement of the Birth of Christ.

So, the people who have suggested praying before sleeping are on the right track. But, your situation is much more serious.
I would recommend the book, "The Bondage Breaker," and 'Victory Over the Darkness," right away.

Do not get into the spiritual warfare stuff. It's not a good idea to enter into power struggles with evil forces, especially if you are not well established as a Christian.

Dr. Neil Anderson says in his books that I listed, that he rarely ever had to deal with these kinds of power struggles. He also explains that what you are experiencing regarding your past sins, the guilt and/or condemnation, does not come from God. Conviction is from the Holy Spirit, that motivates us to change and turn to God. Condemnation is a deceiving spirit and does not represent reality.

There were no power struggles between Jesus of Nazareth and the powers of darkness in the Bible.

Neil's approach makes the most sense, and many spiritual freedom ministries are based on this--
1) You have to first establish your identity in Christ.
2)Then go through the 7-steps to freedom that covers any past issues. This is based on the Bible.
3) Enter Christian fellowship.
4) Read the Bible
5) Then if there's still issues, call in the deliverance team.
Deliverance must be done as a marathon (I saw this on TV once). A team of people work round the clock-- prayer, fasting, constant barrage of key scriptures, etc...
If the person is not willing to stay away from the things that caused the problem in the first place, why would anyone put this kind of resources into helping them? The person has to be committed to recovery and serious about being a Christian, or it's a waste of time, and the person can be in worse trouble.
If what has happened to you hasn't scared you enough-- dude.... that's as bad as it gets, I think, until you get to the point where they make movies about it.

When Jesus first confronted the devil in the desert, all He did was quote the Bible. The truth is a powerful weapon.
I would be careful of what some have said here about our power as Christians to engage in spiritual warfare. [/B
] If some people here are able "stomp demons out of their house," that's one thing. Maybe they have the faith to do that. You may not be in that position yet. Some of your problems are coming from engaging in power struggles with evil and being enticed by it. Like you said, and what myself and several others have said, all you need to do is say the name of Jesus, or one of the prayers people have listed. When the Apostle James said to "submit to God and resist the devil," he didn't mean with our own faculties or resources. We can't fight evil with our minds. But, we can fill our minds with the truth of the Gospel, and the power of the Holy Spirit does the rest. It's not rocket science really. Once we turn from sinful lifestyles, understand our identity in Christ, praise and worship God in close Christian fellowship, go through spiritual freedom sessions, the bad stuff just goes away. Other things people have suggested here should help such as putting on some worship music all night.
When we get into God's light, the Light of Christ, and stay there, everything goes back into balance, because that's the way God created it. There doesn't have to be a million treatment plans for a million people-- JUST ONE LIGHT!!
Sleep paralysis is pretty common, unfortunately, but your experience is so severe because of situations in your life that have opened doors and created vulnerabilities. Dr. Anderson says don't be demon-centered, be God centered. They are enticing you to play their game, and they are feeding on your isolation. The person who suggested that you have a home- fellowship meeting has a great idea. I'm thinking of doing that myself.

Just invite one or two Christians over-- ANYBODY. NOW. Stop the battles now.
Focus on God, on Christ, not the bad spirits

And be careful of anti-depressant medications. Don't take the ones that intensify dreams--obviously, or cause nightmares.

Ok, I'm not an expert on spiritual warfare; But, I believe Dr. Neil Anderson is one of them. And most of this comes from his books.
My battle is very different with depression, but the solution is pretty much the same.
Hope things get better in a hurry--
If you do everything people in here have suggested, things will get better. There's no reason why things like sleep paralysis should persist for many years, once the underlying problem is resolved.
