MY PERSONAL TESTIMONY
Beloved in Christ,
Greetings.
I am from Rajapalayam, a small town on the way to Thirunelveli, Tamilnadu,South India.My father is a school teacher, from an orthodox hindu family and my mother is from a catholic Christian family. I am the first son of my parents. When I was a child, I was terribly attacked by a serious illness, due to that, my left thigh was bleeding and I was about to die. When every body was expecting my end, One pastor family, came to that village for ministry and they settled in the house, next to our house.They had no children. They had mercy on me and took me to their home and prayed for me, applying the prayed oil. God heard their prayer and healed me wonderfully! And I came to live again.
I was a dumb for several years and I was not able to speak till the age of my school admission. In this time, our family came closer to the LORD, and I was unknowingly delivered and I was able to make voice and my speech was reneved. Glory to God!
When I was studying in VIII standard, I fell into a well near by my school, upside down, and luckily, nothing seriously happened and God wonderfully saved my life.
In these days I started to love the LORD more and attended a special Gospel meeting for three days in a village next to our place and there, God anointed me with the annointing of the Holy Spirit and I started to speak in tongues, the languages which I don’t know earlier.
Then I finished my school final, with first rank, and honoured by the school authorities. Then I came to Chennai, (formely known as Madras) the capital city of Tamil Nadu, about 500 kilometers away from my native place, for college education.
I joined in Madras Christian College (formed by the Scotland Missionaries) and completed my Masters degree after six years of study. The college authorities graciously offered me a teaching job considering my performance in the studies as well as in the ministry through the “Student Christian Movement” in the campus.
I joined the Department of Botany as an Assistant Professor and did the research studies also and published one paper with our Indian scientist in Entomoly.
As I was enjoying my life in the campus in my youth, God called me for His ministry as a full time worker, since my parents had dedicated me for the Gospel work, When I was in my death bed, in my childhood. Since I was not able to do both, I left my job and my research studies, and came to the Lord’s work as a full time worker.
Right from the day, I came to Chennai, I had so much of opportunities to move with so many pastors and evangelists, and also had opportunities to attend several Gospel meetings and night prayers, to pray for the nation and for me.
Initially, I was given the opportunity to sing the songs of praise or to give my testimonies in the meetings.
By this time I took baptism through an anointed servant of God, who was then greatly interested and involved in the village ministry.
Later, some pastors started to give me chances to preach in their churches.I took the opportunities very seriously and I used to pray more, to prepare a sermon and I slowly became a special preacher in the churches around our area.
When God called me for His ministry, as a full time worker, initially, I became very upset and nervous and I wanted to run away from the call of God, this way or that way. But finally, I surrendered my life, to the great plan of God.
In the mean time, one missionary organization of our place came forward and gave me ordination in their church, as a great way of confirming and appreciating the call of God in my life, as well as the ministry.
Then I got married and God blessed my married life with three children.
Later, with the permission of my parents and as an obedience to the Great call of God, I started the ministry of God in the place, where it was shown to me.Now that ministry has become a small church ministry, with 40-60 members worshipping the Lord, once in a week, during Sundays.
God gave me the burden to go deep into the Gospel unreached Indian interior villages, to preach the Gospel to those who are lost and to those who are living in darkness.
As a group we go to that ministry with out rest.
In this village ministry,
It happens to travel more to win souls,
It happens to receive the drastic comments of the unbelievers and the false teachers,
It happens to be hungry and thirsty so many times,
It happens to meet poisonous snakes and flooding rivers,
It happens to meet fatal accidents and sleepless nights,
It happens to meet unworthy and ungrateful people,
It happens to walk miles away in the late night after a public meeting,
It happens to face some times severe financial difficulties, to think and to search for the minimum bus fare money,
But by His Grace, His will is perfectly done, and that is a great pleasure for us. In the deep villages, we gather the new converts to worship the Lord and we slowly teach them to worship the Lord by themselves and to conduct prayer meetings in the member’s houses.
Oh, a wonderful ministry to spend the entire life time to meet new and new souls.
We are in need to buy some small pieces of lands and to build hut churches for these eagerful new converts to worship the Lord in the interior villages.
We need your special prayers and helps to bring that vision into live to enlighten the darkest areas of India. Please pray and come forward to be a partner in our sweet work, and you will be blessed unlimitedly.
