Coming Out Of The Christian Closet
Coming Out of the Christian Closet:
I lived for 10 years as a gay/bisexual man. I lived it, and learned a lot from it. Shortly before my 30th birthday I realized that I was making choices against God’s plan. I acknowledged my sin and have since repented of my actions. Upon coming out of this Christian closet I have gained clarity about that life and an understanding that I feel could be beneficial to men who struggle with same-sex attractions. This is a blog about men who are attracted to other men and how those relationships complicate their lives. Whether you are a Christian or not, I hope that these stories will be relatable and valuable tools to helping you pursue a full, enriched, meaningful life. Most of all I want to encourage men who are struggling with a decision to live an active gay life to consider my stories first before loading up on shots and hitting the gay bar. I wish to help explain how choosing this life can end up trapping you more than freeing you. I believe these entries will be helpful when it comes to healthy relationships and living for long term instead of temporary. My hope is that your pain and heavy heart will be released into a world of joy, truth, and love.

Coming Out Of The Christian Closet

GOD BLESS!
If you know of anyone who may be encouraged by my stories, please feel free to forward them the link :)

Much Love,

Haha... No, I'm not. I mean, it is something that can be an ongoing struggle... but now it has become a little more like I guess an alcoholic that stopped drinking. I just have to keep myself in check and stay sober you know?

the important thing now is not your past or what you did, what is interesting is that you recognize your sin and now God and erased from your life this past history, today you are a new person and certainly will witness a new life for those who knew you before , also are doing the right thing in wanting to help others out of that phase where your estubiste but God set me free
God is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all evil. I will pray for you to continue helping others .. and move on brother! God bless you! :)

What an amazing testimony... question- I have an aunt that is dating a women and she is a Christian, is there any advice you could give me to help her see the light so to speak on her situation. What helped you the most with overcoming those urges? Mind you she dated men her whole life then became a strong Christian then started dating women. So Im not sure how that all happened??

My advice is to start out by speaking to her about her walk with God. Ask her questions like... are you going to church regularly? How's your Bible reading going? Stuff like that. Then after she's responded... You can start asking her what she thinks about having a girlfriend. I think it's better to let them speak to you about what their thoughts are on the subject and then respond accordingly. It's much easier to see what their form of thinking is and then have a scripture to back up what they are confused about. Things about sexual impurity, your body is a temple... that kind of stuff.
Many gay men and women have chosen to make exceptions to what the Bible says about the subject, but if you ask them to seek an answer from God by praying and reading the word. He will give them that answer. The Bible says that if you pray for wisdom God will give it to you.
More often than not "Christian" gays tend to say they believe in God and do not find anything wrong with how they are living their life... but their life is centered around sex. They are choosing to make a relational choice based on sex (attraction) instead of living for God first and relationships second.

Maybe start there... and see how it goes.
Encouraged by all of your comments everyone. I really hope to be able to reach people that have questions and hopefully offer some clarity. :)

Best,
Jayheart
