Weeks ago my sister's family started planning a camping trip in Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California. My kids and I love it there, gorgeous desert, rock formations, stunning. One of my favorite places. God was working overtime when He created this place.
Anyway, I wasn't sure I could even go this time. My new job hasn't exactly filled the bank account and with the cost of gas (75 miles 1 way), park entrance fee, etc. I didn't think I could manage it. I've been praying and praying for some way to know if I should go, could afford it, etc. Yesterday I checked in with work, online, and discovered I'm getting a paycheck on Monday I wasn't expecting. Not huge, but I wasn't expecting one until NEXT Friday. An additional $400 lets me pay a couple bills and afford this weekend. PRAISE GOD!!! Thank you Jesus!!!! I prayed all the way home yesterday for wisdom to know if I should go on this weekend or not and there was the answer.
So I'm off to Joshua Tree, my kids are happy (my daughter said she'd been praying all day and night as well. The power of prayer is amazing. This is going to be a great weekend God, I thank you again.
