H
Hoping my testimony be an encouragement for anyone who finds hard to keep being in the path of God.
Our life is full of obstacles and sorrows; we all have to face every kind of difficulties and sometimes is really hard to keep having faith because we feel like God leave us alone to our destiny.
Everyday God lets us huge responsibilities: each choice we do can be wrong or right and it's up to us, as we have a free will, to take the right decision. We are sinners we can be wrong (we know that) but we know that God is merciful too.
This is why we have to be brave and strong even in front of the worst temptation.
I learned in my life that impulsive decisions are almost always wrong and take us in the wrong way so I decided to use another way to decide. Bible gives us a plenty of suggestions and advices on how to behave, why don't help us through this?. It's been long time I begin to use Bible and Holy Spirit that is inside us to guide me on decisions I need to take everyday and it works. Everytime I'm facing a crossroads, I stop and think what Bible teaches about and I try to imagine what Christ would do in such situation. This is not a miraculous cure for our sins but it can help to reduce their number.
Being ill most of the time helped me to meditate about what we can do to stay on God's path. One of the necessary thing to lower our sins' number is to get a strong faith. This help to pray too. I learned this hard way: Satan hates people with strong faith: more faith you get more evil attacks you get. The story is full of testimonials regarding holy persons attacked by Satan even physically: for example Saint Pio from Pietralcina. I recently watched the TV film about his life and there is a particular scene when the saint is attacked physically by Satan.
These testimonials can be scaring but if people have faith in God, Saint Mary, the angels and all the saints, there is nothing most wrong than to be afraid of evil. I'm an uncontrolled sinner but I had many attacks too since I was a child and I think there are other people like me out there. I state I'm not a saint and I never told these facts to anyone because of the fear being called schizophrenic but now it's time to speak out.
I can tell you I felt being slapped during night, I heard someone call my name with an angry voice, I felt someone harassing me more than once and recently I had experiences with black shadows and scratches on my arm (I can tell you these aren't due to my cat). I began to see scratches just after I started again to pray rosary.
When you had to face these experiences, you can feel the urge to follow the evil temptations maybe hoping that attacks would end. I had myself this temptation but this is the best way to loose your faith and luckly my faith is still strong.
After all I can say I'm not scared. I'm calm because I know that God is here for me, to listen to me whenever I need and to protect me.[TABLE="class: gt-baf-table"]
