I believe because I have a relationship with Jesus. I grew up in church but never understood it, said a prayer when I was 15, and then left the church when I was in high school. I lived a life of drugs, sex, alcohol, do what I want kind of life. 2006 God brought me to a job with 3 Christians and a friend out of work who took me to church with her a few times. I finally got it one night and realized that I might not be saved and didn’t know what it was to be a Christian. I ask God to forgive me one night and help me give my life to him. I quit smoking cigs. That night Oct. 15 2008 I gave my life to Christ. God was changing my life but I was still smoking pot. I didn't see anything wrong with it at the time. So one night I prayed for God to show me why it was wrong and he did, I was idolizing it. During this time he also showed me it was wrong by 3 times my smoking pipes breaking which was crazy. If I hadn't stopped I'd be in jail because not long after that someone narced on my roommate and me so the police came by looking for it but all they got was his bong. Since then I've tried to obey him in all I do, it's hard and I still mess up when I let my flesh win over the Spirit but I'm filled with joy that God is with me. So thank you God for leading me to you and a life worth living!
