Guys, I should confess that I have just watched a movie titled Sixth Sence directed in 1999. As a follower of the Lord Jesus I am radically against any ways of introducing, advertising and applying the occult. I tried to find healthy Christian Critics on the movie but found only one which gave an analysis of the film from a Biblical point of view. I found, howeer, many positive opinions even from Christians who praised the film and did not have any problems with its demonised message. More and more movies on the occult appear so more and more healthy Christian critics should also be seen. Who of you would be a partner in fighting for spiritual purity?

I have not seen the movie, but have seen others I am sure are like it.

Can you differentiate for me between fortune telling, and prophecy? Between telekinesis and "saying to that mountain be removed, and it will obey"? Between witchcraft and "whatever you ask for in my name, I will do"?

The magicians in the times of Moses and Daniel could perform some magic (Exodus 7:9-12; 8:7; Daniel 1:20) ... but their power is limited (Exodus 8:17-19; Daniel 2:2, 10, 27; 4:7; 5:7-8, 15).

1 Samuel 28:3-20; 2 Chronicles 10:13, 14; Isaiah 8:19-22. The punishment for contacting the dead is very severe, if not repented of.

Have you ever noticed that the flesh seems to be drawn to these movies? It is part of our fallen nature. Repent and get away from it.

The Lord commands we come out from her, He commands we set no evil thing before our eyes such as the movie you mentioned, which is what most in the lukewarm church flock to, I went to a huge Baptist Church here in my city, many years ago, and this was one of those huge million dollar mega churches, this church was very liberal and apostate to the core!

THe singles group I joined, had a movie night, and some of the movies were filled with sex,violence, foul language, and even exposing children to acting sinful, I stood against this, was hated and mocked!

Now this may offend some, but you few who still have an ear to hear listen up!

The reason the church is in such compromise with the world today is because they do not teach heart purity!

let us cleanse ourselves!​

2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.​

We are commanded to cleanse ourselves. This translates out as purity:

From G2513; to cleanse (literally or figuratively): - (make) clean (-se), purge, purify.

Many will say that God will do the cleansing after we come to Him still defiled and filled with iniquity, which translates out as, God cleanses the sinner gradually, and all filthiness of the flesh and spirit isn&#8217;t mandatory for the sinner to do first.
But as stated, having therefore these promises that come to a cleansed and purified heart, that has been made pure through repentance and brokenness, 2 Cor 7-10-11, the cleansing part is what we do, not to save ourselves, but to present ourselves to God, cleansed and purged from all dead works, thus now becoming acceptable to Him, to receive His great and precious promises, which are many.
Now that the vile sins have been repented of (stopped) hoping God will relent of His wrath against the disobedient, we now can perfect Holiness in the fear of God!
So the salvation process isn&#8217;t a complicated one, but neither is at a quick one, two, three, you are forever saved and in the kingdom.
No, it comes to the truly repentant heart that has yielded to the word of God, through the great convicting power of the Holy Spirit that has come into the world to convict the lost and dying world, and church, of sin, righteousness, and judgment!
Joh 16:8 And when he is come,(The Holy Spirit) he will reprove(convict, rebuke) the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
Mankind now has a free will choice, because he was created upright, and not depraved and unable to choose to obey. He can then succumb to the power of the spirit bearing down on him encouraging him to lay aside all filthiness and wickedness, and seek the mercy of God!
Seperation and holiness isn&#8217;t earning anything from God it&#8217;s a command to follow, and this is driven by godly fear and reverence to God, who has just granted repentance for the remission of sins to the lost and rebellious sinner who has come to their end as the prodigal did, in utter despair and brokenness, now living the holy (separated) life unto God, in all fear of His great power and judgment, that will fall on those who continue to mock Him and His truth. Gal 6-7.
The growth process of a true follower of Christ is not sinning less and less, IE, less porn watching, less getting drunk, less fornication, less murdering etc.. but a process of growing more in wisdom and following the spirit who now fills the soul of the cleansed and purged saint, no longer full of guile, hate, lust, and pride!(the clearing that takes place in repentance)
The spirit now works in the saint, as they become more aware of their faults and imperfections, and short Comings, leading them through by the convicting power of the spirit, onto greater holiness, and purity, and obedience.
But the big offensive sins must have been put to death, cut off at the roots, and dealt with as Christ commands!
Now a cleansed and purified heart will no longer be hungering and thrusting for the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life, but instead hungering and thirsting for righteousness and purity, being motivated by the spirit in all love, patients, and diligence to walk a holy and sanctified life, not in total perfection but in perfect obedience to the truth, willing to grow, learn and forsake all that the spirit reveals to them, especially anything that can lead to willful sin and rebellion or make another brother or sister stumble!

Well the sixth sense is according to my memmory the abilty to see and percieve the supernatural and other worldly. Now this is a very intersesting subject because it can seem godly as well as evil. God can heal, so can the devil but at a price. God can walk on water so can the devil but only to decieve. I do belive everyone has a certain level of being able to see things like visions, supernatural experiences and seeing demons or being haunted by them. But the sixth sense is two side of the same coin however trying to build it to see or hear the supernatural is dangerious as demons will see that oppertunity to trick you. What you belive is an angel could very well be a demon, they are very clever. However you may very well have met an angel as well. As for not watching things that are not godly, this is a subject that differs in each person. I can watch family guy and not be influenced at all, I watch horror movies of the supernatural but for some reason they only seem to make me feel closer to god

I agree, it seems when we search for things like the sixth sense we are looking for something spiritual. I don't believe the flesh wants spiritual things, it has greed lust violence and things like that. Curiousity may have killed the cat but had the curiousity not been there the cat may never learn anything

Guys, with us it is already 2013 now. For 9 hours 10 comments have come on this title. Thanks to all of you. I have learned a lot, and also prayed over it. Will also discuss it with my local friends, Christians and non-Christians. Will also be careful with chosing what to watch and what to beware of. Before eternity there is less and less time for us left for living on the Earth wisely. We will soon give an account to our Lord Jesus Christ how we have lived: for Him or for ourselves. I still feel guilty because of watching such a spiritual poison. But on the other hand I am so thankful to our Saviour Lord that He gave me a peaceful night right after this demonic movie. Guys I never want want to hide my sins, I want to throw them out and get rid of them as soon as possible, whatever the price is. May our Lord help us all to live a pure life, sanctified for the good deeds he prepared for us to walk in accordingly even in this new year.
