Rubio announces his 2016 GOP presidential campaign

Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio said Monday that he is running for president and feels “uniquely qualified” to talk about future.

Rubio is scheduled to make a full-scale announcement later today in Miami at an event before hundreds of supporters and that will include a video message.

The first-term senator has long been assembling his political team, including donors who helped previous presidential nominees collect tens of millions of dollars. Now, Rubio's campaign kickoff formalizes what has been unfolding for months.

Rubio confirmed his candidacy in a donor telephone conference call this morning. That puts Cruz, Paul and Rubio as officially in the race, with Carson and Bush the two most likely next entrants.

Thoughts? Comments? Snide remarks?

As of now my choice in order would be:

1. Ted Cruz

2.Ben Carson (although I'm a little leary he's not ready to handle viscious attacks from the media)

3.Marco Rubio

4.Scott Walker

5.Rick Perry

6.Bobby Jindal

But let's face it, even if Rand Paul, Jeb Bush, or Chris Christie were to win the nomination I really have no choice but to vote for them in the general.

I don't think we survive obama, but if we do, we certainly can't survive another communist, fascist, socialist democrat!

Rubio is okay in my opinion. Would like to see Rubio talk some sense into the GOP on immigration. Only thing with Rubio is he is not very well known by most, so he will not win. Hillary Clinton will be getting all the hype until Jeb Bush announces he runs. People might not like Bush so much, but he will get some of the attention away from Hillary.

I'm glad pretty boy is in. He has establishment and conservative appeal and should make things very interesting.

I don't think he has a snowball's chance in Gehenna of winning for reasons I really cannot write openly on the internet. If he ends up in front of the pack, someone will pull his leash and kick his legs out from under him.

Rand is still looking like the man in my book. He isn't his father (a statesman as opposed to a politician) but IMO he is the best of the bunch, you know, if you like things like the Constitution..lol
