He washed away her makeup and caressed her face. He adorned her with grace, and showered he with mercy. He cleaned her body with his own blood. Yes! She is flesh of his flesh, bone of his bone. They are one with another. Her adorning is not outward as in beauty, but HE is her beauty for ashes, HE is her joy, the Life of her soul.

The Lord cares little about the flesh, but more for the soul. I would have you be beautiful in every way. But know this, beauty is more than skin deep, it is soul deep. If you have outward beauty and no inner beauty, which is by Christ Jesus, then your beauty will be made manifest as no beauty. But if you have that inner beauty of Christ you will be beautiful forever, and it will not fade away.

Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

Isn't that a beautiful message?... to know that God wants heal us in all ways.. at all times ..... when we think we are broken beyond repair, He is always there to take our ashes for beauty.. to renew us and encourage us. ... :)

And yet this is the post I landed on the other night. I needed encouragement. I know that God hasn't left me. I come to CC to stay focused on Him and to find peace during this difficult time in my life. I am glad it was still here. I don't know how I even clicked.
