I know this is not a National News Story, however, as a response to the Post about can Trump do anything to stop supporting him, I submit the following:

If Trump, or whoever is the Republican Candidate promises the following:

1) Their first day in the Oval Office, they immediately issue Presidential Pardons to those peoples involved in the January 6th debacle that DID NOT engage in any violent acts (including destruction of property, and/or trespassing on Federal Property), would gain my support.

2) Their first week in Office, they order the Justice Department to begin a Federal Investigation into the actions of Fani Willis regarding her ties to the Prosecutor she appointed in the Trump Investigation and possible illegal use of Campaign Funds for personal use, they would receive my support.

I am fully aware, as are several others here, that I have always held I would not support Trump for President. However, given what I believe to be the immoral, and unconstitutional prosecution of peoples whose only act was to gather on the steps of Congress to protest an election they believed was corrupted by the Socialist Democrats. Those who while kneeling and praying, were viciously attacked by the Police, and those who offered no physical resistance when attacked by Police should immediately be Pardoned, and their Records expunged.

I doubt any Candidate will make this promise, or, if they do, once elected , they would actually fulfill their promise. However, I am fully convinced that there is coming a time when the Federal Officials and Law Enforcement Officers who violated the Constitutional and Civil rights of the peoples I mentioned will face the wrath of the Lord God. I assure you, His punishment will far exceed any possible punishment they may receive from our Justice System.

So, yes, there is a possibility I could support Trump with my vote. But, honestly, I doubt he will make such promises to the American people. We shall see, I suppose.

???

How did this post get way over here? Did you have reason to believe it would not be seen if you posted it in the original thread?

Because I did not want it lost there. Pretty much everyone knows how I feel about Trump, and Biden. Thus, my stating that he (Trump) ACTUALLY could receive my support is Breaking News at the least level possible.

i get why folks love trump. i get why folks do not like him.

but, i do think he means well, but at time goes about his business in a way that could be toned down as to not make folks not like him.

The real persecution and intolerance of people who have a different political ideology must stop. It's one of the most disgusting things that has happened outside of the Civil War.

We are Americans. We are supposed to find ways to agree and work together....not divide, hate, and seek revenge. This "getting along " and working together is one of the things that has propelled this nation to the top of the heap economically and militarily.
It definitely wasn't "we got better ideas than you".

Can anyone unite us again?

As a Nation? I do not think that will ever occur again. Jesus said things would continue to get worse, and, even with His return, He will separate the wheat from the chafe.

Best we can do is pray for His soon return IMO...

If Jesus's return is still a long way off....or even if it isn't....it isn't good to be found not working....
I think if we continue not to attack with accusations but instead we attack the blatant hate and rhetoric that inspires and gives license to the hate...we can "win". And by winning I mean that we don't necessarily win policy decisions but stemming the greed, selfishness, and moral turpitude that hate inspires.

Things have been this bad before...but people changed and the rhetoric dropped. I can control my attitude and lead by example of trying to get along. Even attacking hateful rhetoric from people that believe they are helping in ideas that I perceive to be the truth.
I don't need my ideology in its purest form to be the winner to win...

Men of good conscience can disagree without resorting to hate. Which is what truly this nation was built upon. Methodists and Baptists and Catholics....all not necessarily happy with the outcome but without complete animosity towards each other.

When we unite in such as fashion...who can stand against except for God?

I'm not suggesting that people have to bow to a foreign ideology that is wrong...not at all. But the rhetoric of hate needs to stop. Especially over someone so vile in concept as a politician.

I doubt it.

Just like Rome fell when it became irrepairably divided into the east and west.

The US will fail. There are people who hate this country who are in power. and until those people are taken out. I see no hope

Yes it will....but it doesn't have to be today and I don't have to contribute to its demise by doing nothing.

Yup.

Or as one guy put it, "I can't stop other people from stirring up crap, but I can keep my paddle out of it."

No. The Communists have taken control of America and all they want is more power and more control. They control all the institutions of higher learning as well as the government, and are indoctrinating school children. But they are dishonest enough to avoid calling themselves Communists. They have no interest in uniting anyone since one of their fundamental principles is to divide and conquer. Karl Marx made sure there would be unending conflict and division through his ideology. So instead of "class" warfare you now have "race" warfare. You also have legal citizens vs illegal foreign invaders. Then you have the federal government at war with the rest of the population.

We need a revival. We need a great awakening. We cannot unite when the other side racially resegregates the population, claims the Right is evil, fascist and white supremacist, and therefore the enemy, or when the other side tells you that removing books with graphic homosexual acts described therein from public schools is akin to Nazi book burning.

So then, what is that perfect political group to which all wh obelieve Jesus Yeshua should belong? Come on, you know. Personally, I have never been able to select a candidate forr whom I Ishould vot,I for I find them all lacking. Ergo, my only Leader is the King of glory, not to be omitted from my life by any politician.

That is not the issue. The issue is this "Should a nation built upon Christian principles be hijacked by Communists and Anarchists in order to totally destroy it?"

The "Democrats" of America want to establish a Communist state. What that means is this:
1. One political party ruling forever.
2. No more free and fair elections.
3. Total repression of all opposition.
4. Total suppression of free speech, and censorship of opposing views.
5. Serious attacks on Christians and conservatives.
6. A Welfare State under a Communist elite.
7. Attacks on free enterprise and small business owners.
8. A corrupt judicial system to make injustice the norm.
9. The weaponization of law enforcement against law-abiding citizens.
10, The systematic destruction of the economy.
11. Using lies and propaganda to promote themselves.
12. The media becoming a mouthpiece for the regime.

This is what is currently happening. And flooding the country with illegal foreign invaders is a declaration of war against the actual lawful citizens, using taxpayer funds to work against the tax payers..

Yup. And "Republicans" want mostly the same thing. At heart they also want 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (with a different target,) 11 and 12. They just want all those for themselves instead of for the "other side."

Talk to any rabid republican (and I know a LOT of them) and it'll come out. Both sides basically think "We need to put our laws in place and shut all those idiots on the other side up."

Personally, I have never found myself to encounter any communist regime as being true to their maifesto. Nor asre the extreme right anything more or less. Once either is in office they have thos strange befellows in their midst, that is the opposition for one extreme cannot exist without theother. This is the yin and yang of satanic politics, it is every where.

As for the USA being founded upon Christian beliefs, this was ntever taught to me in grammar school. We were taught the Pilgrims fled to the colonies in order to escape the tyranny of Christianity as it was in certain European countries. Now the tyrants in the US are all those who mix politics with the Bible. You will easily know them by the fuit they bear, nassty stuff.

I'm old enough to remember when George Wallace ran for President. As troubled as he was, he did have an interesting view of both Parties. He once said: "Republicans, Democrats, once elected, there isn't a dimes worth of difference between them."

Let's be completely honest. Would any Republican president have gone to the great lengths that Biden has gone to to SYSTEMATICALLY DESTROY America? He started his vicious campaign on day one (no doubt doing the bidding of Barack Obama and Susan Rice, since he himself is in very bad shape mentally and physically).
